Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. what purpose is the power input and power output?

A: The PA411 not only distributes the RF from the antenna but also power to additional PSM transmitters. It will cut down on the amount of power suppiles needed in the rack.

Q: 2. is there a passive return module for BIDA 550-50?

A: For passive return you would need to add a diplexer.

Q: 3. Is there a way to take the hdmi out from my computer and send it down the cable in my home. It looks like the Blonder Tongue CATV Channelized Audio/Video Modulator with SAW Filtering (Channels 37-94, 100-135) will send the signal down the cable but how can I get the hdmi in?

A: HDMI won't go directly in; the modulator accepts standard video in. There are converters that will down sample and convert your hdmi to standard video.Note that the converter sends the video out through RCA connectors and the modulator accepts video in via f-type connectors. I used something like these (though they were in stock when I purchased them) -hth

Q: 4. Will the mixer introduced latency?

A: No, the Kopul CMCS-1 Passive 3.5mm Microphone Combiner/Splitter should not introduce any latency to the signal chain.

Q: 5. Can the mixer be used with a tentacle sync device?

A: It depends on what type of device you will be using the Kopul CMCS-1 Passive 3.5mm Microphone Combiner/Splitter with and whether or not it accepts timecode.

Q: 6. Can I connect my pioneer dj900 nexus mixer and Yamaha O1V mixer on 2 RDL-10 K, before entering the audio processorOr should I use the RDL-600? Better!?

A: We usually use these for summing stereo signals to mono. Very handy! The STD-10K is designed for combining or distributing consumer level audio signals, which often use RCA connectors (like DVD players, CD players, etc). The STD-600 is designed with the proper resistance for professional audio equipment, which typically uses XLR or TRS connectors. That DJ mixer has both types of outputs, but using the XLR outputs to match what the Yamaha is outputting is your best bet. Then they'll both be a good match for an STD-600. The device the signal is going to should also have a professional type input.I think the RDL product sheet has some example diagrams for dealing with a variety of balanced and unbalanced connections.

Q: 7. one antenna to receive two different signals(frequencies) by two receivers ; is it possible to use in this way?

A: Yes, the RF Venue 2X1SPLIT Passive Splitter/Combiner can be used with one antenna to receive audio signal and then route it to two different receivers. The antenna and receivers that you use will also determine the capabilities of the setup. The 2X1SPLIT functions as a router.

Q: 8. which norm handles? pal-B/G pal-N or NTSC? thanks.

A: The Blonder Tongue CATV Channelized Audio/Video Modulator with SAW Filtering SAW is NTSC only.

Q: 9. how do you adjust the amps so you get good signal, but produce less heat?

A: This unit does give you the ability to adjust the gain and slope to the proper settings for your situation. Blonder Tongue also sells optional plug-in fixed attenuator and equalizers for input signal conditioning, which you can purchase from them: http://bit.ly/1iV8xC4

Q: 10. Its possible to use Line level signal instead of mic livel?

A: The Kopul CMCS-1 only takes mic level but you can use BH #SASMARTRIGP for line level input.

[6.55 lb] I record audio of post game news conferences for a major youth sporting event, which I post online. Although a mixer would be ideal for connecting multiple mics to my Zoom H2 recorder, I couldn't afford the expense of a mixer, but I found this. You can't beat the price for the solution this provides. (To use this with the Zoom H2, you need a transformer to connect XLR to 1/8.)

[6.55 lb] I haven't checked the response curve, but it sounds clean and natural on all normal programs I have used. It's true that all small transformers like this one can saturate somewhere between 20Hz and a 100Hz, especially on line level signals. But the effect would be progressive the lower Hz you go, and the harmonics produced would be even, so some people might find it pleasant.

The cool thing about this is how solid it is built, no batteries, multiple ins and outs, and it's light weight and compact for gear bags to go. It solves problems.

[1 RU] This is one of those things that you've been missing for years. I shoot frequently in comedy clubs, and they have a wide range of in-house sound gear and it's not always great. Some places even plug a mic straight into the PA. This awesome little box allows me to pull a feed from any XLR mic before it goes into the PA, which means I get a nice clean audio track in my recorder with no effects and the club is none the wiser. Just mix that with some audio from a couple of SM57s set up to capture audience sound and you're in business. It's also nice that I can use it as a combiner should I ever be short an input on my recorder or my camera. I haven't had to do this in the field yet, but I've tested it at home and it works great. It's passive, so you don't need batteries or mains, and you even get phase and lift if you need them depending on your situation. The only downside is that, especially in a dark club, it's almost impossible to read the labels. I just used some neon pink spike tape to relabel mine. Oh, and that price? You can't argue with that price. You should probably get two, just in case.

[1 RU] I use these to split my mics between a monitor mixer and the front of house mixer. These small boxes are made in the USA and built like a tank. They do their job well without coloring the sound and also double as a mic combiner in those situations when you have run out of mic channels on the board. I have a few Rolls boxes in my toolkit and they are solid and dependable little problem solvers.

[1 RU] I have 4 PSM300 and this works fantastic for streamlining the set up in my rack. It's not cheap solution to eliminate 3 power supplies and 3 antennas but in my case I consider it well worth it.

[6.55 lb] A must-have if you have 3-4 PSM300s. I got to combine the antennas and power all my units from one power source freeing up more power for other units in our rack. Works perfect.

[6.55 lb] Much better picture than using VCR for modulator and Radio Shack RF switcher. No lines much better picture. I only use Blonder-Tongue for modulators.

[6.55 lb] Once again B&H has helped in a pinch. It's surprising how many times we have needed a hard-to-find niche item, and B&H has it in stock. This particular item wasn't available anywhere, literally the only place online that had it. Easy portal process for ordering, and delivery is always fast and on time.
