The FLOW 2 4K 12G-SDI/HDMI Up/Down/Cross Converter from SCIENCE IMAGE combines frequency conversion with an optical transceiver in one very compact device. As a worthy successor to the FLOW 4K, the device employs a user-friendly intelligent scroll wheel to facilitate operation using just one finger to scroll up and down to choose the menu and manage the settings without needing to enter the web UI.

Ideal for professional use in a broad range of applications, including broadcast and large events, video conferences, and variety shows, the unit performs up and down conversion in 35 formats at up to UHD 4K60 with support for 12G-SDI/HDMI inter-conversion and output with just a click. Capable of simultaneously transmitting and receiving 3G/6G/12G-SDI and HDMI 4K video, the unit handles maximum transmission to up to 12.4 miles.

An optical transceiver switch in the web UI enables users to easily select between operating as an HDMI or an SDI optical transceiver, with the scroll wheel facilitating SDI and HDMI input priority settings, transmission or reception, and selection of the desired output resolution. The optical transceiver also works as an SDI/HDMI bidirectional converter, giving you a very affordable solution for multiple tasks with broad flexibility and convenience. Power can be received by the device either through the Ethernet input (PoE) or the DC connection with the included 12 VDC power supply.

A: This mini converter does not work that way. It only converts HDMI to SDI. Same resolution and frame rate.

[Fiber/HDMI/SDI] works as described, I had to get four older PTZ cameras (Sony EVI-D100) to work with a Atem 1 m/e and this did the trick to get it functional. I had to use one teranek converter per camera 5

[NTSC, PAL] This unit over the DAC-70 is a toss up but you can't power the DAC-70 with PoE but you have an HDMI loop out with the DAC-70, but it doenst have XLR/ AES outs. I'd give the Teranex Mini 10 stars if it had a HDMI loop out. 5

[NTSC, PAL] I think people who know, know that SDI is a pro connection. I use this flawlessly with my Zacuto Gratical Eye evf. It can also be use in conjunction with the atomos SDI to loop through. I have both. Love them. 5

[Device: 12 W] Who doesn't love Decimators cross converters?!? It's a poor man's ImagePro. But, an incredibly flexible one! Anyway, just days after buying this I needed a 4K down convert...My other Decimators wouldn't work. But, this one saved the day! Another time I have to convert one camera feeding a switcher. Since the camera was getting scaled through the Decimator 4K it lost the genlock going to the camera. So, I moved the genlock from the camera to the Decimator 4K and everything was fixed! I love these things! 5

[Fiber/HDMI/SDI] I use this product to implement LUT's between my Blackmagic card and my projector. As colorist it's a great LUT BOX, this one is cheap and easy to use. You can bypass the LUT on SDI output to go on a vectorscope for example. You can preload 2 LUTs into the Ternax and switch between them easily. It's piloted via RJ45. 5
