The Hive features a protective exterior case plus a removable interior divider that holds your filters. The removable divided insert features a protective dust flap.You can use the two sections either together or separately. Color-coding on the interior dividers allows you to rapidly identify your filters.

The exterior is coated with a water-resistant material with an additional polyurethane undercoating. Inside, the lining is 200D polyester, nylex lined filter pockets, closed-cell antilon foam, nylon binding tape, and 3-ply bonded nylon thread 

The entire case can be belt-mounted or attached to your tripod via its quick-release connection. Front and interior zippered pockets are provided and accessed using thumb pulls. All the zippers are YKK design. The rear of the case features a belt-mountable panel and quick-release grab handle for buckling to a tripod.

A: Yes, this case will hold 4x4 filters.

A: This Filter Nest Storage case can hold 8 x 3.4 x 3.5". This is not large enough to hold the Profoto Click Gels which are 4.7 x 4.7 x 2.5".

A: Absolutely, this case will fit for 105mm filter.I have Lee filter holder, 82mm ring holder & 76mm ring holder, Lee 0.3, 0.6, 0.9 ND filters, Lee Big Stopper, other CPL and UV filters in this case. It is very convenient for filters.

Q: 4. Does this scratch your filters at all?

A: I've not noticed any scratching; the material on the inside is quite soft.

Q: 5. Will wine country filter vault 100mm x 100mm & 100mm x 150mm fit in this hive?

A: There are 6 slots that can hold 150X100 mm, w X h.And, there are 6 more slots, side by side, that hold approx 80-85 mm X 100 mm, w X h. Hard to measure the width.Then there's room in the front and back of the slots that are not segmented off. They measure about 170 mm X 110 mm, w X h. Also, there is a zippered slot as part of the segmented sections, where you can put something very thin, such as a cleaning cloth. That segmented section containing the large and side by side slots, comes completely out of the Hive itself.

Q: 6. How is this pouch at keeping dust off the filters? Does that fuzzy stuff in the sections come off on the filters? Thx

A: Your filters will stay clean in the case, no issue there, what so ever... It's well built and water resistant. The only issue I've ever had with this case is, that I have a few of the thicker filters like Singh Ray's Vari-N-Duo, Vari-ND and the Color Combo Polarizer. The case isn't intended for such deep rimmed filters so space gets a little tight and occasionally, I'll get a finger print smudge on the filter because I have to pry it out with my fingers. But I have since move the two thick ones out of this case and it works a lot better... Hope this helps...

Q: 7. Will this fit Cokin A filters?

A: The largest filter I have is a 77mm, round, I believe it can fit a square filter of 82mm X 82mm. I tried a P filter (rectangular), and it does not fit. I is very practical, and I am considering a second Filter Nest

Q: 8. I have about a half dozen of 49mm and 52mm filters that I would prefer to keep in the plastic boxes/cases they are sold in (approx 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 x 1/2 ). Will these boxes/round cases fit inside a Mindshift case?

A: No, they won't fit. Even if they did it would be difficult to use. Double the effort - remove from the case then remove from the box.

Q: 9. Is there space to store the filter holder? I use a Cokin Z series.

A: The MindShift Gear Filter Hive Storage Case is tight to fit the Cokin Z series holder.

Q: 10. Can I fit six 4x6 and five 4x4 filters?

A: NO, You can fit 6 4X6 filters. There is six 82 MM filters pocket. But it's too small to put 4 X4 filter.
