The IOGEAR 4K HDMI to DisplayPort KVM Cable Kit with Audioconnects your PC to your KVM switch. You get a single DisplayPort to HDMI cable which also has a USB-A connector to help drive power if needed, supporting resolutions up to 4096 x 2160 at 60 Hz. You get two USB-B to USB-A cables, giving you mouse and keyboard support with one cable while the other is available for systems that support CAC readers. You also get a single 3.5mm audio cable to support various notifications or media.

A: This should work fine with an Apple TV.

A: Yes it does. The Audio is still present on the HDMI output when using the DVDO HDMI 2.0 Audio Extractor.

Is the device capable of simultaneously passing thru the unmodified audio and video from the 4K Apple TV to the Samsung TV and extracting the L/R audio to amp powered speakers?

A: Yes, the embedded audio on the HDMI signal will stay on the HDMI signal while sending out the audio signal as well for a receiver.

Q: 7. Is it possible to add one more receiver? I would like to display one source of vdeo on Iwo tv's at the same time

A: Unfortunately IOGEAR does not make the receiver in the GWKIT4K HDMI Connection Kit available standalone for that compatibility.

Q: 8. I have a LG OLED TV that outputs only one audio. For example one HDMI to a sound bar OR one optical to my hearing aid device. I want to use my sound bar AND my hearing aid through the optical. Will this do the trick?

A: The HDMI output will still have audio on it. If the sound bar you are using has an HDMI input then yes, this should in theory do the trick.

Q: 9. if the original signal (hdmi in) has video and audio; the audio in for 3.5 connector overwrite the original audio?

A: The purpose of the 3.5mm is to provide audio for an HDMI signal that doesn't carry audio at all.

Q: 10. Can this device be used to connect turntable output rca to hdmi for 50 foot run to a receiver?

A: That would not be possible with the DVDO HDMI 2.0 Audio Extractor. If you want to combine the audio from your turntable, with a different video source and your turntable has a phono preamp built in, then you would want to use something more like BH #MU100527

I bought this cable switch and it worked great. I had to buy another because my cat gnawed through the thickest cable. The second cable works great also. 5

Switch worked perfect out of the box. It was purchased mainly to take care of workstation and laptop being connected to the same monitor (ASUS) through DisplayPort. Bonus - now I can use same keyboard. Works great so far. 5

The IOGEAR KVM works flawlessly with my 2 PCs. One PC has the DisplayPort, while the other has the HDMI port. The included KVM/DisplayPort makes connecting the 2 PCs so easy. It's particularly handy with the remote to switch PC. The remote with more than enough wire to mount very conveniently near my keyboard. 5

Works well. Only slightly annoying is the KVM causes a new audio device message to pop up every few minutes. Silenced the message problem solved. 5

Since I only needed this for video and keyboard, I haven't tested the way in which it handles audio. But for my needs� (switching between Mac Pro 5,1 and a Macbook Pro) it works fine. I did need two adapters to go from Display Port to Mini Display Port. 5

I used this for a tight environment where a server was right up close with a video-camera monitoring system. This device makes it really easy to leave the cameras up, and just switch over to the server when I need to work on it. The small remote-button can be placed where it's convenient, instead of having to figure out how to get the KVM itself to be placed where it's reachable. I've bought several of these, over the past few years, and am always happy with them. 5
