[Red / Black] Impressed with this monopod for its versatility and quick release options. I use it with a 70-200 mm lens and several Sony mirrorless cameras and it's great for stability. Will absolutely handle larger lenses than that. The legs can detach from the monopod to be used as a hi-hat tripod for low angle shooting, which I love. Very uniquely and intelligently designed.

[0.39 lb] Yes, you can actually mount a camera to this monopod without worrying about it falling over. The big feet, carbon fiber body and quick locks make this monopod easy to carry, set up, and use. I had a Sony a7S3 with a Sigma 24-70 lens mounted - using iFootage's fluid head - and it was steady and stable at eye level. Amazing! Just make sure that no one is around to bump into it.

[Aluminum] I’m can safely say that I am an IFootage phan boy and proud of it!!!! About a year or so ago my cheap old pod just fell apart on me and after researching I found IFootage and the Gazelle. It was everything I needed and more. Add the Komodo K 5 ball head and for my macro, portrait, landscape photography.
Then a few months ago I started doing a lot of street photography and am dabbling in First Amendment auditing. So of course I turned to my research source UTube and saw the rigs other’s were using. First I noticed that there were 2 camps. One group used a tripod with only one leg extended and the other group a monopod. I tried the first but I’m a senior now and because of its robust build it just didn’t work for me. So back to the drawing board and I found the Cobra 3.
After using it 5 times I kept saying to myself where the heck has this thing been all my life!!!! Ifootage build's their equipment to a standard that you don’t see even in the so called higher end mono and tripods.
Myself after having using the twist locks really like the flip out better. The carbon fiber legs are beefy enough to withstand just about everything!!! Then the base legs are longer than previous models and it really makes for a solid platform. The Komodo head works great with it. But the real advantage is all the modular things you can do with it!!! A desktop monopod, or take the legs off. I’m not able to get in to a lot of that because I’m still just learning about all the things the Cobra can do, but if you’re looking for a monopod I’d recommend that you check this one out. Oh and before I forget, as I’m older I put a tennis ball on the end and use this as a walking stick. It works great in that capacity and extends my walks!!!!
Now for B&H. I can’t say enough about their company!!!!!! I’ve used a few of their competitors but for me B&H are a cut above!!!! Delivery’s on time and Customer Service excellent!!!! They have all of my business!!!!

[Aluminum] I needed a good monopod for shooting with my 70-200 while standing on a stepstool. Most of the monopods for sale don’t reach a high enough height for my needs, so I went to the B&H store to see the options in person. The salesman knew exactly how the other brands performed, and I’d already narrowed my choices between this one, and a Manfrotto pro unit. The Ifootage had similar features, but was not only sturdier, but less money. I bought this unit, and a Benro triple action ball head to fit on top. The combination of the two items worked fantastic for my needs, and I used the setup just hours later while shooting a NYFW event. I couldn’t be happier with this monopod.
It comes in a great bag too. Unfortunately the head has to come off the monopod to put it in the bag, but the quick release unit on the monopod makes it all easy to remove, and replace.

[Aluminum] Upon receiving the Cobra 3 Carbon Fiber Monopod, it took me about half an hour to get the auto locking sleave to work smoothly. Had to literally soak the sleave in silicone lube three times and lots of working it back and forth to get it to work as it should. At first it felt as if it had either grit or shavings in it. After getting the auto lock sleave to work properly, I can say this monopod does everything I want it to do. I'm thinking other folk would have sent the whole thing back and not have tried to remedy the problem

[Aluminum] I got this for wildlife photography with a 600 mm lens. It has been ingeniously designed with the quick release and mount features and the mini tripod base. I have used it for action shots with wildlife and used the base for flower macro photography. I absolutely love it. It is very stable and also allows quick adjustment for action.
