Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Would this work with a Benro S8? I'm concerned about the length of the Benro's stem. Also, how can this Riser be connected to a tripod?

A: Hi Thomas. Sorry for the delayed response. I use this item to attach a Miller Compass 21 Fluid Head to a very tall Manfrotto 161 Tripod (3 meters in in height). It's enabled a number of difficult shots. I am not acquainted with the Benro products (as such) but I can confirm that this item has worked well for me in the way that I have described.

Q: 2. Can you level the ball head with this like regular ball head tripod?

A: Yes

Q: 3. I have Manfrotto 503HDV head, is it compatible with this one?

A: no the 503 head is a 75mm ball head and this will require a 100mm ball head.

Q: 4. Is there a version of this with a flight case?

A: We think you are thinking of these dollies. However, in order for them to fit in a reasonable case, they do not incorporate a high hat. https://bhpho.to/2kitBVS

Q: 5. Anyone ever try this with a Miller 100mm Head ?

A: The Manfrotto 529 Hi Hat with 100mm Bowl should be compatible with a Miller head that has a 100mm bowl mount.

Q: 6. How do you under sling this Dana?

A: You can put the Dana Dolly Hi Hat Universal Kit in an underslung position by first removing the low hat by unscrewing the thumb screws from the sled, flipping the low hat, and then securing the low hat by screwing into the 4 countersunk mounting points.

Q: 7. Would this work with the Sachtler Ace tripod?

A: Yes, if it has a 75mm ball head. It should work with all 75mm ball head tripod heads.

Q: 8. Does it work with the Sachtler Aktiv12 fluid head?

A: Yes, the Manfrotto 529 Hi Hat with 100mm Bowl is compatible with the Sachtler aktiv12T Touch & Go Fluid Head with SpeedLevel & 7-Step Drag (100mm).

Q: 9. can that Reverse setup when wanna low angle?

A: For a low angle, you would want to use a shorter stand, such as a set of Avenger Combo Steel Stand 10s: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/611470-REG/Avenger_A1010CS_A1010CS_Ultra_Low_Boy.html/specs

Q: 10. Can this be used on a photography tripod like the Manfrotto 190xprob and mount a fluid head? Or should I just buy a video tripod with a fluid head already included instead?

A: I purchased this riser to be used at our church. It is screwed to the balcony front rail and has a Manfrotto fluid head supporting the Panasonic video camera. It is very well made, light yet sturdy and stable for our needs. I would think this mounted to a sturdy/beefy photo tripod and a fluid head will work quite well.

[Hi-Hat Cymbals] I bought this pedal to work with my Yamaha DTX Module. I had been using a Pintech pedal which would randomly cut out while I was playing. This pedal works great with my kit, it arrived a day early and was nearly half the price I saw *

[Hi-Hat Cymbals] I purchase this pedal because I have an e-drum kit that consists of equipment from 3 different brands. I use V-Drum mesh pads with an Alesis DM10 brain, Pro Rack, and a Yamaha DTX550 module running to Hart cymbals. The response from the Yamaha HiHat trigger is better and SOUNDS better than the Alesis, so I needed the controler for the DTX550 to work properly.

[N/A] Ok, so I've been shooting corporate video and reality TV for just over 40yrs and still love'n my job. Over the years I've had many occasions where I needed a Hi-Hat support...rather than buy these fixed metal bolt to plywood units, I just had the wife sew a small durable vinyl pillow to do the job of supporting my camera. Now that shots made with a short 2' slider are common, I needed a real Hi-Hat support. When I discovered this Benro unit I was impressed. It's what I really needed for the past 40yrs. Build quality is true professional (it can support up to 220lbs - I'm 170lbs, stood on it to test and it's solid) and the additional included feet are a real plus. The carry bag is not an afterthought but a really nice bonus-very well made too! ...so from now on this little tool will be on every one of our shoots from this point forward. What are you waiting for.... Buy This Now!!!
