Add high-quality streaming music to any sound system with the CS1 Endpoint Network Audio Streamer from NAD Electronics. Stream your music however you like, with up to 24-bit/192kHz resolution. Play music via Wi-Fi, Ethernet, or Bluetooth, with support for a variety of apps and services.

Connecting the CS1 to your home network, via Wi-fi or the available Ethernet port, will produce the best quality audio with access to streaming services, like Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, and Roon as well as your own networked music collection. A network connection also allows you to play back via Airplay 2 or Chromecast for convenience. A Texas Instruments PCM5142 DAC feeds the analog RCA output, or you can connect to an external DAC with MQA passthrough support via Optical and digital coax outputs.

There are a multitude of ways to play music through the CS1 Endpoint Network Streamer. To begin with, you can use Bluetooth to pair the CS1 with a smartphone, tablet, or computer. The CS1 is compatible with the following Bluetooth Profiles: A2DP 1.2, AVRCP 1.3, SPP, HFP, HSP, HOGP.

You’ll get even better sound via Wi-Fi or Ethernet, with several options. You can use AirPlay 2 to stream CD-resolution audio from any app on an iPhone, iPad, or Mac, or from an iTunes library on a Windows PC. You can use Google Chromecast to cast music to the CS1 from any Cast-enabled app on a mobile device or personal computer, at up to 24-bit/96kHz resolution. Spotify and Tidal subscribers can cue up music in the apps for those services, then easily transfer playbackt o the CS1. Additionally, Roon subscribers can play music from their digital libraries and from streaming services supported by Roon.

Regardless of how you stream or cast music to the CS1, you’ll love what you hear. Employing premium components throughout, the CS1 features an advanced differential digital section based on Texas Instruments PCM5142, a chip known for its extremely low noise, excellent dynamic performance, and immunity to clock jitter. It supports resolution up to 24-bit/192kHz and has MQA pass-through support for both digital outputs, enabling full MQA decoding and rendering by a compatible external DAC for playing Master Quality Authenticated music.

You can connect the CS1 to your home network via Wi-Fi or hardwire its Ethernet port to your network router or an access point. The CS1 has a pair of RCA line-level analog outputs for connection to a stereo receiver, integrated amp, preamplifier, or a pair of powered speakers. Alternatively, you can use the CS1’s optical or coaxial output to send digital audio at up to 24-bit/192kHz resolution to powered loudspeakers with digital inputs, or to a home-theater receiver or external DAC.

A: The Senal XU-1648 XLR-USB Interface is only compatible with Windows and MacOS. It does not state any compatibility with Android OS.

A: no that would require a video switcher

A: Once you connect the device it's necessary to go and select it under video input devices. This usually found under preferences in the specific applications you are running.

[>90 dB ref. 2V] I use my NAD C-700 to stream music both from Tidal Plus and Spotify, thru iPhone and iMac. Also with a Teac turntable. I like the robustness of the equipment and the high quality sound. The only thing I wish to be improved is a blinking light in the back. 5

[16 to 24] quick set up, able to stream spotify and connect mac via airplay. excellent sound quality. slight delay as I adjust settings but probably due to my less than speedy wifi. no regrets. 5

[Up to 192 kHz] I purchased unit from B&H as a replacement for the Apple Airport Express that was functioning but not without latency or connectivity issues. The Audioengine B-Fi was EXACTLY what I was looking for. Super responsive with great range. Setup was super easy as well! 5

[>90 dB ref. 2V] I needed to add a separate streaming Roon end point for headphone use via a DAC. I looked at what was available to stream with a noise free and good time output to a DAC. iFi ticked all the boxes at a very low price point when compared to other options. The Zen has SPDIF and USB for the digital DAC outputs. I used the USB. Both Outputs have tech to insure that noise/timing issues has been limited to a minimum which is very important ( Rubbish in means rubbish out). Ethernet used since this ensures no dropouts or throughput issues. You will have to set the system mode selector (Roon for me) so again one should know what you are using or plan to. It was straight forward to set up by going to ifi websight (internet search if in doubt). Performance wise this sends a very good digital stream to my DAC. No issues with timing or noise. The imaging and musical enjoyment match my Roon driven /SSD NAS / Meridian MS600 endpoint. So full thumbs up for very little money. 5
