Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this TRRS work with the blackmagic Atem mini pro as an audio imput at live level? or would I need an adapter to TRS?

A: The Sescom Stereo RCA to 3.5mm TRRS Plug Line to Mic Level Summing Cable for Mobile Devices uses a TRRS connector for mobile devices. It will not work with devices requiring a TRS input.

Q: 2. I just purchased a Sescom Stereo RCA to TRRS 3.5mm Plug Line to Mic Level iPhone/iPod/iPad Summing Cables - 12 Inch (SES-IPSUMRCA12IN) Will it work being connected to a Macbook Pro (2015) headphone jack? And for recording in a DAW?

A: Hi Lest. There is a chance it will work, but it most likely will not, unless the jack "sees" the signal in the same way it does an Apple earbuds set or a headset with mic. Our IPSUM and IPHONE cables were not designed for Macbooks, but we are reviewing and will be testing and updating the line accordingly once tests are complete and we can fully advise whether cables work with Macbooks or not. Thank you!

Q: 3. Is there the same type cable as this but longer than 9"? I need it for a GH5 on a gimbal.

A: I would say 12 to 14 inches.

Q: 4. It seem obvious give TRS and 2xRCA plugs, but I would like to confirm that is two channel (stereo) out to the camera?

A: The Sescom SES-43DB-MZ2P Attenuating Line to Mic Level Cable is used to send line level audio from RCA left and right outputs to a camera's 3.5mm TRS microphone input. The cable has a built-in attenuator to pad the signal by 43 dB which will prevent any clipping or distortion.

Q: 5. Is this xlr cable not shielded?

A: The Remote Audio Low-Profile XLR3F to XLR3M Balanced Coiled Jumper Cable is a shielded cable.

Q: 6. What size is the Tripod Mounting Thread?

A: The mounting thread would be 3/8-16".

Q: 7. what powers the microphone and could it be plugged into a stereo instead of a camera?

A: The LE-778 has a 3.5mm stereo plug that can plug into any device that accepts a mic level input. The device, such as an audio recorder with a mic input, will amplify the signal to line level for recording or listening to live.

Q: 8. Is this cable ideal for connecting a mirrorless camera such as a GH4 -- with its dedicated mic input -- to a recorder such as the Tascam DR-60dmkII -- with its dedicated camera outputs -- or will any standard 3.5mm stereo mini cable do? I want to achieve the cleanest possible signal between camera and recorder. Any advice or recommendation is appreciated.

A: The Tascam DR-60dmkII features a dedicated camera mic level output. Any standard 3.5mm cable will suffice to get clean audio from the recorder to the camera.

Q: 9. Does this cable work for zoom f6 too??

A: Hi Ching. This cable attenuates the signal 35dB, so it might attenuate the signal a bit more than desired. We have a couple of cables specifically for the Zoom H6, the LN2MIC-ZOOMH6 and LN2MIC-ZMH6-MON. These Zoom H6-specific cables attenuate 25dB rather than 35dB. The LN2MIC-TASDR100 cable will work, but you might have to raise the audio level up on your camera if the audio level is a bit low. Thank you!

Q: 10. Will the Sescom LN@MIC-TASDR100 work with a Panasonic gh4?

A: Yes, the Sescom LN2MIC-TASDR100 Line Out to Camera Mic Level In Cable will work to adapt a line level output device signal into the microphone input on the Panasonic Lumix GH4 Mirrorless Camera.

[0.2 lb] I bought this item as an attenuator to bring the line level output of my keyboard amp directly to my TASCAM's DR-05 digital recorder. Simple and effective. No Problem.

[XLR3F to TA5F] This cable seems like a no-brainer but for those who have gone thru the riggers of setting up dslr to tascam recorders know it can be a major headache with less than great results. This cable works great

[XLR3F to TA5F] I purchased this cable to reduce line level sources such as my mixing desk, CD player etc. for recording on my Tascam Dr-05 linear PCM recorder.(The Tascam DR-05 has a mic/line input that cannot handle line level sources.) It works very well for this. The 35db pad built in allows me to use the mic input of the the DR-05 for line level sources. It works flawlessly. It seems well built. My one complaint would be that the markings on the cable (in and Out) are printed on stiff tape 1/4 inch from the strain relief at each plug. This creates an area where there is undue stress on the cable. This could fail after repeated bending.

[XLR3F to TA5F] This cable comes in handy for playback on music videos and for sending audio during a Mardi Gras Parade when cabling to a speaker isn't an option.

[0.2 lb] Now that the 7D has manual audio, this makes life much easier. Works just as described with DR-100. The size of the 1/8 plugs seemed too large by just a hair. They went in really hard to the camera. Could be that that jack on the camera is just tight. I also tested this with a Mackie VLZ 1604 and a AKG C3000 B. It worked well but the 35dB cut was around 10-12dB too much. It worked but I like to see the levels much higher than that. Next time I would re-route the output to slam more signal into the 7D. If I am out and about, I use the DR-100 and it worked like a gem.

[8 x 3.2 x 1.5"] The cable sets down the gain from a mic or mixer to a DSLR 3.5mm audio input. Finally the audio in the captured file is useful without having to use double system sounds files and resyncing in post.
