This 50 ft Remote 50 ft HD-SDI & XLR Audio Snake Cablefrom Remote 50 ft HD-SDI & XLR Audio Snake Cableallows you to carry two HD-SDI video signals and an AES/EBU audio signal with minimal clutter and setup/tear down times. It was designed with video assist and DIT applications in mind.

Each end features two BNC connectors and a 3-pin XLR connector on mini coaxial cables. All the BNC connectors are male, and the XLR connectors are male on one end and female on the other. The BNC pairs are color coded yellow and green.

[SMPTE 259M/292M] I appreciate that B+H has almost everything I need. This 2ft cable is a better fit than my previous 1 ft cable as I introduced a new component to my project. Great to have the available choices in length and color. 5

[1280 x 720] I was interested in the possible sound quality difference between this 50' cable and a really short one (3 to 18). I did a test recording in stereo with the left channel using my really short one (Kopul Coiled 3-Pin XLR-M to Angled 3-Pin XLR-F Cable (3 to 18)) and the right channel using this 50' cable coiled on the floor. I kept mics and recorder exactly the same for the experiment and rotated my setup in the room halfway through in case there was one side of the room that was better than another. By ear I can detect no difference between the two sides in the recording. Both had no discernible hiss when recording a vocalist. Fantastic!! 5

[5 lb] I ordered two of these and I don't have any qualms. The length of the "tails" might not be perfectly uniform, but they're fairly generous. You will need strain relief to get from a camera to the ground - that won't be done with the tails themselves. [5 lb] These are perfect snakes. We have them running in our studio, we use them in the field, precisely zero failures unlike so many other snakes we've used. We don't use it with AES or digital audio, just traditional analog audio from an M32 XLR out, and never had noise introduced even with a 4-pin XLR DC power cable running along the length of it, so the shielding is good as well. 5
