Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. which strap for Sony RX10?

A: Directly from Peak Design, the Slide Lite is perfectly suited for mirrorless and light DSLR cameras. So I'd say you're plenty safe using the Lite with your RX10.

Q: 2. Do you have to use the bottom plate? Or can it strap/tie onto a strap holder if you have a strap slot on both top and bottom of handle?

A: It's not designed to work that way, but you might be able to do it.

Q: 3. Will this work with a Nikon D5500?

A: Yes, the Peak Design CL-3 Clutch Camera Hand Strap is compatible for use with the Nikon D5500 DSLR camera.

Q: 4. does this work for sony a7c?

A: Technically, it does, but due to the camera's smaller body, it might end up feeling a little too loose around your hand/palm.

Q: 5. Does this work on a Nikon Z9 with the Kirk L-Plate?

A: No. The Nikon z9 offers strap eyelets. The following strap will not pass through.

Q: 6. The strap comes with a base plate. What tripod quick release system is it compatible with?

A: The connecting plate included in the box with Peak Design Slide Camera Strap (Midnight Blue) is not for tripod mount purpose. This connector allow you to attach one side of the strap on the camera base mount 1/4-20 female thread, which allow a more confortable position for shoulders. If you need a plate which also connects to your tripod you can use the following option: 1- Manfrotto RC2 and Arca-Type Compatible. Peak Design Dual Plate v2 for Capture Camera Clip BH #PEPLD2 • MFR #PL-D-2 https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1372682-REG/peak_design_pl_d_2_dual_plate.html

Q: 7. I have Version 2 of this strap, and found that the material used to construct the slip-resist side melts and loosens in hot weather, staining the shoulders of my t-shirts. It is impossible to remove the stain. It looks like the design has changed; has the material used to construct it also changed? And HOW do I remove the stain?!

A: So, I took the strap to the Peak Design booth at last year's PhotoExpo (2018) and they acknowledged that there had been a problem with silicone leaks in hot-weather circumstances. They said the problem had been addressed and very graciously replaced my Version 2 with Version 3, for free. I found, though, that while stains are fewer, it still will stain clothes in hot weather. The silicon chips themselves are dyed to match the color of the strap. So, maybe I need to trade the black strap for the ash-colored one. Will be heading out to this year's PhotoExpo today, and will stop by the Peak Design booth to see what they can do.

Q: 8. Will this hand strap work with the really right stuff L plates for both body only and with the battery grip attached on a Sony A9ii?. I connect the camera via the arca swiss type connection.

A: Yes the Peak Design CL-3 Clutch Camera Hand Strap can be used with an RRS L bracket attached to your camera.

Q: 9. This strap has smooth and non-slip sides. So it is reversible and you can choose which one you want. But if you choose non-slip, those two quick-adjusters will be on the body side. These adjusters will hurt and wont adjust. Is this correct or I am missing something?

A: I use this strap with my Nikon D850 and I think it is the best strap I have ever used. It is very comfortable with either side out and the adjustments are convenient in or out as well. The two inch wide webbing easily supports the weight of the camera for long days. The quality is excellent and I will be buying a second one in the near future.

Q: 10. Can this strap be used to carry a large lens like a Canon 500mm or 600mm?

A: Sure can! Each Anchor which is the attachment point for our straps is designed to hold up to 200lbs. of force.

[Nylon] This strap offers a very sturdy hold which is also light on the neck for hot days. It can also quickly detach for when I use the camera on a tripod and i can easily keep the strap in my pocket during this time. The colour also compliments my silver Fujifilm X-T5 very well :)

[Green] Love this product! Makes my life so much easier. I really like the flexibility. Not just in how I carry my camera with the Slide Lite but also how easy it is to switch to, for example, the Cuff!

[Green] I waited for years to find a strap equivalent to my discontinued Luma Labs Cinch which is wide enough to distribute the weight of a DSLR or interchangeable lens mirrorless camera but can be rapidly shortened for secure across body behind-the-shoulder carrying or lengthened when using the camera. I tried the very nice Simplr F1 strap but it is too narrow for comfortably carrying a camera heavier than a point & shoot or m4/3 with a small lens.

The Spinn.Design is wide enough to distribute the load, can be greatly shortened until the sliders touch each other, is thin and not bulky in a camera bag, has no metal fittings that can scratch lenses, cameras, or LCD screens (I'm looking at you Peak Design Slide and Leash straps), and has the narrow, flat, tape attachment to the camera which keeps the wide strap from getting in the way when using the camera. Highly recommended if any of those features are important in your camera strap.

[0.48 lb] I use the CP.02 and the Spinn strap both for studio shoots and on location. The camera sits firmly on my body without dangling - that's just great because I don't have to watch it all the time. The strap can be quickly adjusted in length and when I put the camera away, I don't have to worry about scratching the camera because there are no metal parts on the strap. Since I've had the CP.02 my camera is actually always with me because i don't even notice it when i'm not taking pictures.

[Green] I bought this for use with my Nikon Z6ii. Like all PD products, it does not disappoint. The Slide Lite is the perfect size/width for the Z6ii imo even with larger lenses such as the Z 70-200mm f/2.8 S. The Midnight Blue matches very well with the black camera body and lenses.

[0.48 lb] A few days ago I bought the Spinn CP carrying system, the CP.02 and the black strap. I am a cameraman and after just one day on set, I can't imagine ever working without CP.02 again. I wear my Sony Alpha on my body all day and don't even notice it. As soon as I want to take a photo or shoot a short shot, I just pull the camera forward and shoot. When I don't need the camera, it's firmly on my back without dangling or bugging me and when i want to put the camera away, i can just wrap the strap around the lens and put the camera in the camera bag.... so simple. A wonderful idea to attach the strap to the bottom of the camera. This way the camera lies firmly on the body and the strap no longer hangs in front of your face - just great - thanks for this wonderful tool.

[0.48 lb] I like sling straps. My last one had a wide pad for my shoulder. This demonstrates that is unnecessary for today's mirrorless body and lenses.

The ease of adjusting is also a plus...
