Another benefit of using LEDs is low power draw, and although the compact LC500 Mini consumes just 20W of power, it outputs up to 1390 lux at 3.3' (5600K), providing great brightness for your work.

Both CCT color temperature and intensity settings are continuously adjustable, from 2500 to 8500K and 0 to 100%, respectively. Furthermore, CRI and TLCI ratings of 95 and 96 indicate accurate color performance.

This easy-to-use light allows quick setup and operation, even one-handed. You can use the intuitive local display and buttons to precisely adjust color temperature, brightness, and other settings. The Godox Light app is another option to control the fixture via Bluetooth from up to 98.4' away.

The LC500 Mini comes with 11 included lighting effects to help you simulate different scenarios.

[2500 to 8500K] This light is somewhat unusual for me cause Ive never used one like it before but I love the possibilities. I use this as a secondary light. It's nice for lighting under the face or just giving a subject enough light on one side of them, so there is a good tone. I love that it travels so easily. Great power and brightness. Good long battery life. This is going to be fun to do lots of experimenting with. I love it! 5

[Fan] I ordered one of this light sticks recently to test it and I was very surprised with this light, so far I have used it for a couple of interview and I will be ordering 2 more. Easy to use, compact the battery last enough for up to an hour and it covers the two main color temperatures enough light for indoor. 5

[2500 to 8500K] As many others have pointed out, this Godox ice light is many dollars less expensive than the Westcott model. Not having owned or played with that product, I can't draw any first hand comparisons between the two. For my purposes, the Godox model was more than good enough. I used it for the first time at a shoot in an old historic home. Windows in those old houses are typically small, both to keep the home cooler in the summer and to keep the heat inside in the winter, for this particular northeast US climate. Bad for available light photography though, and so I put three Godox ice lights to work providing just enough soft illumination to give me the exposure I needed and to deal with those nasty deep fireplace shadows. The light was natural, filling in those deep shadows when you dialed in the right amount of intensity, that can be adjusted from 100% down to 10%. I played with both the daylight setting and warmer tungsten level light. Working with a combination of diffused daylight and moderate Godox light set for Tungsten, the effect was very natural for this type of subject. I've tried using remote strobes before but the effect was too cold and the images too snappy, caused by the increased micro-contrast result of using speedlights. Color filtering those did not help. Anyway, the Godox ice lights were each mounted on a light stand, but I can see how some could complain about the weight being somewhat heavy. The longest I've had the lights on during any session was about 45 minutes with no issues of power, color change, or light intensity loss. Shifting the barn doors from one side of the stick to the other is inconvenient, but certainly not a deal breaker given that these are an incredible value otherwise. Whether you're a studio shooter, location shooter, or both, I think you'll get a lot of use out of these lights. They're a very good investment. 5
