Range targets more than a mile away—and get fast angle-compensated readings up to 1200 yards out—with the Leica Rangemaster CRF-R Laser Rangefinder. Upward and downward angles affect your shot, so Leica's Equivalent Horizontal Range (EHR) algorithm compensates correctly for the angle and improves your accuracy. A simple interface provides critical ease of use and the LED display clearly shows the ranging information in your line-of-sight. An ambient light sensor automatically adjusts the display brightness so you can clearly see the information without overloading your vision. This pocket-sized device will be a valuable addition to your hunting gear.

      Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Please forgive what might be a silly question as I'm new to rangefinders... Does this camera come with the patch in the middle of the rangefinder to help find focus?

A: Yes, it has the two rangefinder rectangles in the viewfinder that you would superimpose the image onto each other to aid in focusing.

Q: 2. Does this come with an instruction manual?

A: They do not include a paper manual. They do offer the manual to be viewed on a computer via PDF document included on the software with the camera as well as posted on Leica's website.

Q: 3. Is the M-A's iso dial made of metal or plastic? The sample pictures here include a chrome metal dial and what looks like a black plastic dial. Its disappointing that the MP's iso dial is made of cheap plastic, but heard it shouldn't be the case for the M-A.

A: The Leica M-A (Typ 127) Rangefinder Camera (Black) iso dial is made of metal

Q: 4. Can this use bluetooth and share to Facebook? :)

A: No. The MP .72 does not have Bluetooth or WiFi capabilities. We do have other M models that have WiFi capabilities but not Bluetooth which can be utilized to connect your smart device to the camera. Those would be the new M10 and M10-P. These models can be connected to your smartphone/tablet for using a multiple of options with our newly designed Leica FOTOS app which will be available on 10.24.18. Q: 5. What material is the metal part of the camera? Brass?

A: The material of the metal part of the Leica MP 0.72 Rangefinder camera is brass.

Q: 6. if one uses a 35mm prime lens and need to blow up a region in a negative that was the real subject it would have to be done using an enlarger when printing to the print paper?

A: To enlarge a portion of the image, you would need to either use an enlarger in a darkroom or you can use a film scanner, printer and a computer.

      Q: 7. How many megapixel?

A: This is a film camera and not a digital camera.

Q: 8. is this a new old stock camera?

A: This camera is still in production.

Q: 9. Black or Silver? Are they made from different materials?

A: There is no difference in materials.

Q: 10. Can one use Leica screw mount lenses?

A: Yes you can with a Leica adapter and it works great. I have used it with my Dads screw mounts Leica lens from the 1950s...

[6.6°] It is always a treat to use Leica M cameras and this MP model is outstanding. The MP is a wonderful tool for creating images that feel totally handcrafted in that special Leica M way.

[7x] Leica MP is simply the best, there is no way around it. However, buying my first Leica with BHphoto is probably the best decision I’ve had. I had experience with Adorama but BHphoto customer service is far superior. No return return fees (Adorama does make you pay return fees), exchange/return convenience, and fast shipping. If you decide between the two, BHphoto would be the best option as it gives you a peace of mind knowing that they will take care their customer. I had an issue with the first order and had to exchanged it. I called them and explained the situation and they exchanged it with no questions asked. Simply the best customer service by far. It reminds me of REI customer service (if you live in PNW you’ll know what I’m talking about). They have a customer for life. Thank you, BHphoto!

[15 mm] This Nikon Laser 50 is better than the 4K Black. I now have both, and did an AB test on them.

They range exactly the same, at about 3700 yards each(best case) and about 1900 on trees.

The main difference is the L50 has a Magnesium case, and will display angle or compensated yardage in the display.

The Laser 50 also comes with a 5 year warranty.

I'm not sure why Nikon called it a 50, and not a 4K Black mark II, but this performs exactly the same as the old 4k Black.

[Monocular] Am glad I finally got these, been wanting a set like this for years, simple to use, Great you have a range finder and binos in one package, less stuff to carry and keep up with. Optics are crystal clear, can definitely see the difference in these over my older Steiner 10x42 predators, its real close; but you can tell. Eyes do not feel strained after hours of glassing like they would with lesser quality glass. Worth the extra money so if you are on the fence go ahead and get them. Only one pair of glass better than these and I should have bought them years ago while they were still below $2K.

[15 mm] I enjoy using all kinds of cameras for various types of photography, including Nikon SLRs I can praise endlessly. That being said, this is the pinnacle of simplicity and function. With this you just make pictures with ease and accuracy and mechanical perfection. You will want nothing more and get nothing less than what you need. A huge selection of lenses from leica to Voigtlander will give you anything you want at any price point but with the solid foundation of a camera body that just works. There is nothing like a brand new MP.

[6 x 4.7 x 3.2"] First Am I a glass expert? No; however my eyes can tell. These binoculars are crystal clear, can see details on your subject that you would with lesser optics, and can glass for hours without your eyes feeling stressed. The range finder is a great feature to have. Is also pretty spot on with known distances. For the price and what you get, this is hard to beat. Used these for deer hunting in temps from 25 degrees F to 45 degrees F, did not have any issues. Light gathering capability is also great. These are still within the affordable range. Sure Leica and its competitors have better series optics but it will cost you at least twice this price and may not include a range finder. Why I went with this pair? Convenience of having a range finder and binocular in one, currently own other Leica optics, affordability and quality. I understand that this series is made in their Portugal facility. I am not concerned with that as Leica from Germany has oversight and their reputation. Would I buy these again and do I recommend? Yes

[Monocular] Was waiting to afford this set ip for years, Nice combo package, high quality glass and range finder. Used them on a deer hunt last year in temps from 15 deg F to the mid 50’s F, crystal clear images in low light and mid day. LRF is accurate. In a overcast low light condition I could tell the difference between a young doe and a button/nubbin buck at over 250 yds. The detail on the wild turkeys at over 200yds was incredible. Yes, it was money well spent
