It's way more than I need--I've got a 4 or 5-foot desk and use this cable to connect a couple of Behringer powered speakers to my MacPro (which sits off to one side) for video editing. My plan is to mount the speakers on the wall, probably a little higher than head height, and even after that I'll have plenty of post-split cable left over on each side.Otherwise, the quality seems great. Both the audio from my documentary projects and music from iTunes sound super. It's not Monster cable or some such, but I can't imagine that there's much if any loss of sound quality. I wanted this setup to improve the audio side of my editing, and the cable doesn't seem to take anything away from the speakers. Highly recommended.
