The LF-NZ55 Lens Foot for Nikkor Z Telephoto Lenses | Jobu Designfrom LF-NZ55 Lens Foot for Nikkor Z Telephoto Lenses | Jobu Designis a replacement lens foot for the Nikkor Z 400mm f/2.8 TC VR S lens and other similar Nikkor Z telephoto lenses. It is designed to add Arca-type mounting capabilities to the large telephoto lens without adding a supplementary quick release plate. Made from a single piece of aluminum, this 5.5"-long foot features a rearward heel section to assist with balance when using heavier camera bodies or a body with a battery grip. It has built-in 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads for accessory mounting plus a stainless steel QR socket for compatible strap mounts. The base features dual M3 safety screws to prevent the lens from prematurely releasing from a clamp.

[QD] I shoot with a D500 (no battery pack) on the 600mm FL E, on a side mount gimbal. This foot is a full 7 inches long, so I have room to spare when balancing. Also, the foot is only 1 1/2 tall, so I am able to mount the lens nearly 1 closer to the center on the side mount gimbal. And, last but not least, this foot is about 6 ounces lighter than the total of the Nikon foot plus Arca-Swiss plate. It all works great. 5

[Aluminum] This lens foot is longer than others I have, coming in at 7. I was having issues with an RRS foot on the RF600: It just wasn't long enough with a heavy lens and a light camera body without turning the foot backwards. This foot fixed the issue. It is plenty long, sturdy and has tether capabilities. It also has a QD port, although I'm not sure I would want to carry a heavy, expensive lens that way. 5

[QD] Fits my Sigma 500/4 well and holds it very firmly on my Sidekick. It sits on a Gitzo tripod with a RRS-55 head. Very solid!! Two of the screws that hold the mount to the lens are not reset but that doesnt interfere with any operation. Ive used it on my mono-pod as well, and very solid. I did get this a 1/2 price through B&H so a very good deal. Highly recommended. 5
