A: Hi Elaine,It looks like you have it set up correctly. It should take any SDI source in and output 480i from the SDI out #2. There is another setting Control/Output 1 is Loop . If that is set to yes then the SDI output 1 is a loop of the SDI input (your HD source). I fit is set to no then both SDI 1 & 2 should have the scaled output. Try connecting a monitor to SDI output 2 and see if there is a picture.I hope this helps,Bob

Additionally, with the new v1.3 firmware, the device can now GENLOCK it's output to an external SDI reference (not the traditional analog black or tri-level, its reference signal must be SDI, like system bars or a switcher AUX out). This new genlock feature greatly adds to the box's versatility. It's really an excellent piece of equipment and great problem solver. I'm a freelance video engineer, and I carry one in my kit.
