[Fluid Head] Best tripod i ever owned, incredibly stable and smooth!

[Fluid Head] I'm using this with a C100 that goes from minimal build to completely decked out (Rods, external recorder, EVF, Matte Box, etc.) big weight differences. The head has functioned beautifully, showing only a bit of limitation when really weighted down. Just got back from a six country shoot, where it was set up and broken down a lot. No problems with travel at all. All in all, it's great to be able to have a Sachtler Tripod for this price. What a world.

[+90° to -80°] For years I've been using Miller, Sachtler, Manfrotto tripods... and recently purchased this beauty and have been nothing but impressed! The build quality is top notch for the price and despite being so heavy duty it is quite light and does everything I want it to. This would easily rank higher in my opinion than other tripods around the $1k mark.

[Fluid Head] I couldn’t be happier with my decision to go with the TS100CF-Q tripod—it's the lightest 100mm bowl option available, making it a breeze to carry around. The included shoulder strap for the carry bag is a game-changer for me, making transportation to and from locations effortless. Adding an extra base plate to all my cameras was a smart move, allowing for rapid setup, and the 1-lever, 2-stage feature on the legs is a huge time-saver on set.

[Fluid Head] After years of using Sachtler tripods, switching to this TS100CF-Q has been a game changer. It can counterbalance my RED and Pictor Zooms. The variable drag feature enables precise adjustment of the shot, whether I'm aiming for a slow pan or a whip. With the pan drag zeroed out, It recently handled a 360 pan shot seamlessly—something that an OConnor head cannot do. I also purchased the mid-level spreader and feet. Which were a necessary for my outdoor shoots and allowed me to get lowered angled shots.

[Yes] I put this tripod to the test. It's currently sitting on top of a 4-floor office building, holding a time-lapse camera. While being held in place by sandbags, it has been through some high winds and foul weather and it's holding strong. It is also a very smooth head. Pans and tilts like a dream. It's also very light. I carried it up a ladder to get on the roof and it wasn't too much of a challenge. Highly recommend this camera.

[Fluid Head] Of all the tripods I've used, this one is a beast at a great price. I purchased a used model only it's aluminum. Although the carbon fiber model is slightly lighter, I don't notice that much of a difference. This baby holds a lot of weight. In addition, the tripod head is nice and smooth, but better than previous models I owned. I highly recommend this unit for any serious videographer.

[Fluid Head] I was surprised at how beautiful the legs are. Carbon fiber stripes spiral down the legs. Although light, it is very robust. It feels tough and legs are greater in diameter than I thought they would be. Previously I preferred twist clamps, but that was before I used these lever clamps. 'Tripod works great without raising the legs, but when I need more height, pop open a lever and pull to hear the swish as the leg extends. Very smooth and safe. The built in spikes are nice too, just rotate the soft foot to expose them. On my other tripod, I had to dig out the spikes remove the foot, then screw in the spikes. The Ace is much easier and nothing gets lost. The leveling clamp that hangs from the 75mm bowl is very easy to level. 'Just punch the button and the bubble level illuminates, loosen the bowl clamp slightly and adjust to center the bubble before the light goes out. Nice battery saver. The metal parts are lightweight magnesium beautifully finished with holes for attachments. A little clip is shaped like a hexagonal socket for on the spot repair and and an Allen wrench is stored in the clip too. Also, the Ace tripod, or sticks as some call them, can work with Sachtler's larger fluid heads, like the FS8 I think it's called. Those can also be purchased as a kit. In my case I bought it for the head, the quality of legs was big surprise and it nice to know that if my weight requirements increase, I can use the legs with a larger head. The Ace L head is built to handle 3 kilos, or almost 12 pounds, which I am pushing when I load up the Blackmagic Ursa Mini with 2.6 lb battery and the shoulder mount kit and Sony VCT-U14 quick release plate, but the Ace L fluid head likes it. I used the supplied extra 1/4 to lock the plate to my camera with two bolts. It also comes with a 3/8. Once balanced, I twist the horizontal & vertical drags to 1, set the spring tension to 3, then the camera stays where you point it. I'm very happy with this kit.

[Yes] I was looking for heavy duty tripod for my Alexa, it weighs about 35-40lbs with all the accessories on it. This was the only option other than spending over 10k on oConnor Tripod. I was my suspicions because of cheap price but it turned out great. Amazing head that holds my camera without any trouble, great leg with easy pull setup. I recommend it.
