[Cage] I bought it for use by SONY A7CR. In case of A7CR, Sony supply basic bundle finger grip. But it cannot connect F38 mounts. It is very light weight and support all kinds of falcam( F22,F38,F50) mount. it is very useful. Highly recommended.

[Sony FX3] many pros only 1 con, the only con you have to adapt to their mounts purchase from them, good: they make great accessories high quality, good for and upgraded kit but not super rigged out. easy to slide their mounts on and off overall great cage and accessories, you definitely get what you paid for.

[Aluminum] If you're looking for a baseplate then you surely have experienced how frustrating is to screw and unscrew several plates along the day in order to switch from tripod to gimbal, to slider, to shoulder rig, to dovetail, etc. There is always something incompatible with your plate.


Last year I bought the SmallRig Manfrotto-Style Drop-In Baseplate (Smallrig 2887); you can actually read my review here on B&H for that item. Where Smallrig failed miserably, Falcam excelled. This is one of those things that make you ask why nobody tried this before? Yes there are other Manfrotto baseplates, but all of them have drawbacks, until now...

The construction ofthis baseplate is sturdy and robust, and once the plate is locked, you have to apply a little bit of force to release the lever, but is a small price to pay for safety. I tested it with 5 different Manfrotto style plates: Smallrig 3061, 3031 and 3158 (all of them designed for Ronin), the very same DJI Ronin (RS2) plate and an original Manfrotto 501PL plate from my 504X. It worked perfectly with all of them. The only small issue with this last one is that the security screw impeded the plate to lock from both ways, just in one way locked perfectly (the side that indicates the lens, but that can be solved easily unscrewing that tiny screw and putting it in a different place (there are other 2 small Torx 6 included, with their respective key).


I purchased both the long and the square plate just to test them, and I'm so happy that I'm not just gonna keep them but buy a couple more of each one, the squares for my tripod heads and half balls and the longs for my dovetail, tripods from other brands (I'm looking at you Miller, I love your heads but your plates are obnoxious), and my shoulder rig. This is a game changer for me, so well thought and engineered that I can't believe it's so affordable.

[Cage] Good design!

[Sony FX3] Fits like a glove! Vey light and strong. Threaded holes in all the right places. Easy access to all the buttons and doors. I looked at the other cages on the market and none compared in fit and quality. Its a bit pricey but well worth it!

[Sony FX3] I purchased their cage for my A7siii and was my first choice of cages when I purchased my FX3. Unfortunately, it wasn't quite available yet and settled on the Small Rig half cage so I can still use the audio handle. 8Sinn is the only full cage that's designed with the handle in mind. It has plenty of mounting points for accessories. I purchased this to replace my Small Rig cage because for some odd reason the battery door would no longer open and the cage was never removed nor fell. I have no clue as to why the door became blocked from opening.

[Aluminum] After watching many YouTube videos, this folding cage sparked my imagination. It is ( in my opinion) well built and works as advertised. It is light and portable. I plan on using a Magic Arm and On Camera light for closeup photography and video also I may use this to mount my IPhone 16 Pro for certain situations. It is truly a clever device. Give one a try you may really like it ?

[1x Cold Shoe] It's all solid metal, something not too common with GoPro accessories which are typically plastic. This is a premium accessory at a reasonable price.


It's compatible across BOTH the F22 and F38 systems, which I wish more Falcam gear was designed like this.



One nice touch is there's no loose nut for the locking screw -- the end of the ears is threaded themselves. Nothing worse than taking off a gopro accessory in the field and dropping the very locking nut you 100% absolutely need. You won't have that problem here.


A feature not often mentioned -- there's a 1/4x20 threaded insert on the bottom of it. So if you need to slap it onto a traditional tripod head that doesn't have a F22 or F38 adapter, you have that option.

[Sony FX3] The plate is lightweight which I like and has a simple rubber stopper for your screws which can easily be removed/installed. I had a SmallRig tripod head that had a side loading mechanism like the Sachtler FSB heads. I upgraded to the new Ace XL instead and purchased this quick release adapter to achieve the same effect. There are very few alternatives as much of the quick release systems are Arca based. I wouldn't bother with the bubble level as it was different from my legs and gets covered by the rig most of the time. At first I was hesitant to purchase the F50 since it would add height to my rig but I honestly like how it looks now. Finally, the best thing is the auto locking lever, you hear it snap into place and that's it.

[1x Cold Shoe] The cage is well designed, no flex and it allows me to rig things the way I like them.
