The Horita TCI-50 VITC/LTC Reader & RS-422 Inserterreads VITC or LTC Time-Code; translates and inserts the Time-Code numbers into the RS-422 data stream to an edit controller or PC.

High Speed Read capability for reading VITC and LTC at various VCR Search/Wind speeds (depending on tape formats).

"Bypass" mode removes TCI-50 from the RS-422 data path.

Auto mode automatically switches to VITC as a backup when reading LTC.

Q: 1. When plugged into computer, will it give a drive number? Trying to recover deleted files, and when my card is in the camera I don't get the needed drive letter.

A: Yes the files should come up as a drive letter, but not number. It also will show after the drive letter what you have named the SD card.

Q: 2. will this work on an older model imac?

A: It should. I have an older IMac and the reader works just fine.

Q: 3. Is this 9 pin connector compatible with Sony PTZ cameras and controllers similarly equipped?

A: If your Sony camera model has a Phoenix port for RS-422 control (many Sony models do not offer this port today), the Marshall Electronics RS-422 9-Pin Phoenix Connector for CV620/CV612 PTZ Cameras will work.

Q: 4. Can this device be used to jam or accept timecode to and from a Tentacle Sync?

A: Yes, if the Tentacle Sync timecode is SMPTE LTC format, the VLR-100 will jam and/or accept timecode from a Tentacle Sync.

Q: 5. Will this read an old SmartMedia SM card?

A: Unfortunately, the Vivitar 50-in-1 Memory Card Reader / Writer cannot read SmartMedia cards.

Q: 6. Does this overlay LTC onto a video input? Looking to put timecode in the bottom-right corner of an SDI video line.

A: While this does offer a Window Burn of Time Code, it is for a composite signal only. This system does not work with SDI.

Q: 7. Can I connect 3 HD-SDI inputs to this capture card?

A: Yes, the 3x HD-SDI connections work as both input and output options.

Q: 8. What Marshall camera control application will use the USB port into which is plugged the Marshall Electronics USB to RS-485/RS-422 Converter? The Marshall camera control application seems to require a serial com port only.

A: It is Compatible with CV502, CV505, CV565, CV343, CV345, CV365, CV350, and CV225 cameras

Q: 9. Do your inserter devices support ARC feature on HDMI OUT to play analog audio on BOSE Soundbar700?

A: After looking further, Unfortunately none of the HDMI Audio Inserters we have listed will support ARC.

Q: 10. Can you also copy files to a sd card or does it just transfer files

A: Yes, you may insert an SD/SDHC/SDXC memory card into the Vivitar 50-in-1 Memory Card Reader / Writer and connect the card reader to a computer to transfer files from your computer to the SD/SDHC/SDXC memory card.

[8.4 x 8 x 3.5"] This product has made reviewing and editing my photos so much easier. The only issue I ran into was that I was not able to attach the Reader to my phone while my phone is in a case. Decided to remove the case on my iPad to review my photos. Another great product from Insta360. 5

[8.4 x 8 x 3.5"] This unit has been my workhorse for at least as long as I've had a digital camera. Simple to use and reliable. The pins are a little delicate, I keep bending one pin at the end of the row. Easy to correct, after all this time (aprox 15 years) I'm looking to get another one as a spare. 5

[2.02 lb] Outstanding time code generator. You can set up this generator either as the master or slave it to your smart slate. Ive recorded up to 50 minute interviews and after syncing in post it did not miss a beat. I like using the Manual R/S mode, I can record straight 1 hour interviews without stopping in that mode. Plus I like digital read out of the timecode, I have to see that its running.Im going to buy another one .I have the timecode going into audio track of a Ninja recorder. You have to have Final Cut Pro X or Avid Media Compser because they reads the timecode out of the Ninja and of course Sound Devices recorder that has TC with Lemo connection. The customer service of Horita people were outstanding. I had question and they responded promptly. 5

[2.02 lb] Of all the extra pieces I bought for the one X series of 360 cameras, I never thought this would be the one to change my workflow. I'm not an expert at this stuff yet, but it's nice to shoot clips and video segments and quickly get them off the camera and into my computer. This accessory helps you do that immediately and stays on the camera. 5
