[3] This is the heavy-lifting big brother to the On Stage SS8800B Speaker Stand.However, I feel that (aside from the K&M's huge load rating) the outstanding difference is that the On Stage SS8800B will last several years of weekend use, whereas the K&M 213 should survive roughly TWICE as long, ...being hauled, rigged and demounted on a DAILY basis.So the seemingly large difference in outlay can actually end up being cheaper on a cost per hour basis, given that your gear is always on the move like mine.It's also important to note that, like the SS8800B, it's raised and lowered by a screw jack, ...decidedly NOT the rack and pinion or cable and reel solution offered by most others.This is a VITAL difference because, when UNclamped ...the screw jack is the ONLY mechanism of these that will remain solidly fixed unless it's actually being cranked.That makes use of the riser's locking bolt optional, mainly to prevent acoustically induced rattles or buzzes.Check out my earlier review of the On Stage SS8800B and you'll notice thatK&M's commitment to safety extends to their catalog pics of the stand actually showing it CORRECTLY deployed.That earlier review also contains a few other tips that I hope you'll find useful when setting up this type of tripod spreader system, regardless of manufacturer.

The platform can fit 2 monitors which is an added plus. It is made with quality materials and is very sturdy. Easy to assemble as well!

[Black] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Assembling the table was not difficult. There were instructions. It explains clearly and in detail how to assemble the table. The height is adjusted automatically by pressing one button. There are three buttons on the keyboard that can be used to set the desired height. When you press the button, the table rises to the height you remember. The lifting mechanism operates silently. The table frame is metal, so it is durable. Works from a socket. There is a minus - the tabletop is made of a material on which traces remain even from the slightest touch. You cannot raise or lower the height for a long time, as the lifting mechanism overheats and the message “hot” appears on the screen. The advantage of the table is that it rises quite high, allowing you to work standing at any height, for example, with drawings. Moreover, even in the highest position the table is stable and does not wobble.

I’m using it at the office and tight out of the box, you just place it on your table top, take out the packaging materials, and place it where you’d like it to be. Using the handles on either side it is so easy to adjust the standing desk to the height you’d like. It is just as easy to drop it down if you’d like to sit using a standup desk is great for your back and gets you off the chair during your workday. Love it.

It’s so helpful to have this to stand instead of sitting to do work on the computer. Highly recommend!

The adjustable height is super cool, and it glides super smoothly when you’re adjusting it. It didn’t take long to assemble, just had to attach some non skid pads to the bottom and attach the keyboard holding shelf. The only could have downfalls I would say is that it is pretty bulky for sure, and it would be nice if you could tuck the keyboard back under the top piece when not in use. Otherwise it’s super cool!

The white finish gives it a modern look and the desk operates so smoothly thanks to the electric mechanism. Going from sitting to standing is a breeze and the 38" desktop has plenty of room for my setup. This desk feels really sturdy and well-made.
