Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. will this fit and work with the Leica Type 109 with self closing lens cap?

A: I've seen one person over on dpreview report being able to use a thin ring filter with the 109's twin sister, the LX-100 when using the auto cap. Panasonic says filters cannot be used with it. Quite a few have reported it causes the lens to jam as it retracts when powered off. I've read of at least one person saying it caused damage to the zoom, so I wouldn't try it. The auto cover is kind of gimmicky anyway. Many who have it say it still lets in some dust and debris though the slits. I've had multiple cameras for forty years and never lost a removable cap. If that's a concern, buy an extra one. I don't use those retaining strings either. Invariably, it will dangle in front of the lens on that once in a lifetime shot! As for the filter, no complaints whatsoever. Like all the German filters I've used, they're worth every penny. It fits my LX-100 and there are no problems using it with the standard cap when powering off. However, I always power off first, then put the cap on, which you can't do with the auto cap, because that defeats its purpose.

Q: 2. What is the difference with the old one B+W 77mm Kaesemann XS-Pro Circular Polarizer MRC Nano Filter? Is it similar?

A: The B+W High-Transmission MRC-Nano Master Circular Polarizer Filter (72mm) has improved coatings and better light transmission than the B+W 77mm Kaesemann XS-Pro Circular Polarizer MRC Nano Filter.

Q: 3. Does this filter work in the drop in filter holder on the Nikon Z 600mm f/4 VR TC S lens?

A: We are sorry. As of Jan '24, we don't have the Nikon NIKKOR Z 600mm f/4 TC VR S Lens (Nikon Z) in our store display so we are not able to test if the B+W High-Transmission MRC-Nano Master Circular Polarizer Filter (46mm) is compatible.

Q: 4. Can I use this with the Sony 70-200 GMii with the lens hood on?

A: The B+W High-Transmission MRC-Nano Master Circular Polarizer Filter (77mm) will not work with most lens hoods like the Hood that comes with the Sony 70-200 GM II lens. You will not be able to rotate the filter.

Q: 5. Is this edge-sealed against water or humidity?

A: This filter is not water or humidity sealed.

Q: 6. i know all VNDs respond differently, but wondering if able to stack CPL on top of this lens and still get suitable shot?

A: The K&F Concept Nano-X Series VND Filter Kit with Green Coating for DJI Osmo Pocket 3 is not available for stacking.

Q: 7. Is this filter stackable?

A: Yes, you can stack B+W High-Transmission MRC-Nano Master Circular Polarizer Filter with another filter, but stacking rotating filters may be hard to separate when taking off the lens, consider getting https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1407950-REG/sensei_48_55mm_rubberized_filter_wrench.html Rubberized Filter Wrench of appropriate size.

Q: 8. Anyone know what's the meaning of "digital" in the rim? Just curious. Obviously it doesn't mean it's only for digital sensors. It's got some computer chips in it maybe?

A: These filters have been developed for digital sensors in the way that light is gathered on them, the filter maximizes how the light falls on the sensor and how each pixel records light.

Q: 9. Will the 112mm work on a Nikon 14-24mm 2.8?

A: Yes, the B+W Master High-Transmission Kaesemann Circular Polarizer MRC Nano Filter (112mm) is the right size filter for the Nikon NIKKOR Z 14-24mm f/2.8 S Lens.

Q: 10. I want to put this filter on a NIKON 85mm 1.8 G (67mm) . Does any one know if there are any problems reattaching the lens cap? How about the lens hood?

A: There is no issue putting on either while this filter is on the lens.

[67 mm] I purchased a Nikon 500mm f5.6 and this filter to protect it. This filter does not interfere with the lens hood and the lens cap snaps into it fine. I liked the high light transmissiveness for the price.

[Shimmer] I recently purchased the K&F Concept 1/4 Black Mist Filter from B&H, and it has quickly become one of my favorite photography accessories. This filter adds a touch of enchantment to my shots, softening highlights and infusing them with a subtle misty quality. It strikes the perfect balance at 1/4 strength, preserving critical details while creating a dreamy atmosphere. B&H's seamless shopping experience and prompt delivery made the purchase a breeze. I'm thoroughly impressed with both the product and B&H's exceptional service. The K&F 1/4 Black Mist Filter has unlocked a new dimension of creativity in my photography, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

[Shimmer] A filter like this is a MUST HAVE if you want to level up how your images (for photography and video) look in broad, intense daylight in one fell swoop.

They reduce the overall amount of light coming in the camera so you can stop down for a beautiful optically blurred out background and heavily reduce intense sunlight reflections, virtually adding dynamic range in daylight. I knew this would help my shots but my jaw dropped when a got the footage back from testing locations for a project, with and without. (attached photos are screen grabs of video. Shot on Sony A74, Sigma 24-70 f2.8) *Note: This is my first ND filter and first polarizer.

My testing has found a slight cyan cast in the area where sunlight can hit the lens where shadows can be seen, it looks almost dreamy and I kind of like it, but not perfectly color preserving. With Nano-X Pro, I have not encountered any dark X pattern no mater how I adjusted it, which is far better than most Variable ND + Circular Polarizer filters on the market. The included pouch is made of materials that feel great in the hand and its pull tab that makes the filter rise out of the pouch is a very nice touch that makes me wish K&F Concept included this pouch with more filters and also sold separately. I want other filters in these things! (Wile they do sell other pouches. They do not sell the ones included with these filters.)

If you are on the fence and don't have a ND or polarizer, just get it. It took a while for Polar Pro to finally release something like this, and the price of this one STILL undercuts it. If you are a videographer/photographer, image quality is super important and this is a fantastic tool to help you properly expose your shots. There is a reason why Directors of Photography have built in ND filters on their wish list for their cinema cameras and this is why, it makes their job so much easier and allows them to focus on building the look that they want.

[Shimmer] This lightweight metal framed filter is well made and functions well. There are other brands of similar filters that cost much more. I have made trial shots with it and I can say that it is a good value and great price.

[Shimmer] The K&F Concept Nano-X Filters are well made. I've purchased two 67 mm and one 77 mm and all three fit my lenses perfectly. Optically they have no practical effect on image resolution or light transmission and produce no added glare. These are well-made, reasonably priced filters with exceptional optical performance. It's amazing how much multi-coating technology has improved in the last decade and K & F seems to be fully competitive with the best filters available anywhere.

[0.2 lb] Bought specifically to use with my GF lenses for the Fuji GFX 50r. Truly does give a more filmic look right to the RAW files. Great for back light and creating natural lens flare. Skin texture is lovely as well.
