OWC Jupiter Kore provides a vast amount of direct-attached or expansion storage capacity with up to 320TB of storage in this 3 RU/16-drive rack system. As your storage needs increase, attach additional Kore systems via Mini-SAS for even greater capacity.

When high-performance RAID storage is a requirement for your computer or server, Kore is the perfect storage for connecting to Mini-SAS RAID controller cards and adapters. Since Kore provides high-speed JBOD storage, it can also extend the storage of networked storage servers such as OWC Jupiter Callisto.

At the core of Kore is the fast Mini-SAS HD interface architecture which provides single cable speeds up to 48 Gb/s, or run dual direct Mini-SAS HD cables to achieve up to 96 Gb/s. Use this performance to speed up practically any workflow, ingest more video, edit more simultaneous video streams, and move more data around, saving time and money by allowing creative professionals to actualize their artistic vision.

Whether building from the ground up, or integrating into an existing system, 16-drive/3 RU racks provide installation flexibility so you can add the OWC Jupiter Kore system that best provides the capacity you need in the space you have.

Downtime is unacceptable. When you need to update, upgrade, or replace a drive or fan, you can keep the rest of the system up and running.

Kore has robust power supplies that feature redundancy, the ability to hot swap, and load balancing to ensure that the system remains up and running 24/7.

[256 TB] I started with 4, 4TB drives in my Synology DS920+. I soon replaced those with larger drives. When that was no longer enough, I added the DX517 and bought one more 4TB drive, which added about 14TB to my total usable storage. It was a very fast and easy upgrade. I can also easily expand my storage even more by merely replacing those 4TB drives with larger ones.

I read a lot of reviews beforehand and for safety, ended up creating a second volume; so, each unit has its own. I had to move some folders around to make sense of it all but that too was fast and easy.

This was a very cost-effective way to expand my NAS and I am very pleased with the results.

[256 TB] I have been using Synology DS3617xs NAS Server for more than 3 years and wanted to expand the volume. Synology DX1215II is the most energy efficient and one of the most easiest expansion unit I have handled thus far. It's a simple plug and play; and you can manage the drives in any RAID configuration in the DSM.

Plus, I think it's the cheap 12 bay expansion unit i the market.

Also, works like a charm with any Seagate HDD - Exos, Ironwolf.

[256 TB] This Expansion couldn't have been easier to install! I plugged it in to my existing NAS, prompted me to restart, and Boom! Expanded by 60 terabytes! I'm really beginning to enjoy Synology products. There's a lot of support out there, including user based forums to help dive into implementing your NAS for many purposes. From creating a surveillance system, to connecting your printer/scanner for network scanning, theres so much support available to figure these things out even if you're a bit green when it comes to the gear!

[256 TB] I searched and researched for the perfect NAS unit. I finally settled on the QNAP TS-1655 because of unlimited options of future upgrades like maxing out the RAM memory to 128 GBs, the 2 M.2 hard drive ports you can designate to the system cache, not to mention the 16 hard drive bays. I already added 2
Samsung 1TB 970 EVO Plus NVMe M.2Samsung and 64GB of RAM memory with plans to add 2 more to max out the four memory slots on the QNAP TS-1655 16-Bay NAS Enclosure. I am very happy with this purchase.

[256 TB] Utilizing with the RS815plus. Allowed me to expand my storage utilizing smaller hard drives that were previously removed from the '815. Synology recommends creating a new volume hosted on this unit only, due to the performance hit with having a single volume communicating over the eSata cable. With its own volume there's no performance difference from the primary volume on the '815. Highly recommend if you need more storage.

[256 TB] Unpacked, added drives, changed raid type AND expanded storage pool. It took over two weeks for the changes to complete, but I could use my NAS the entire time without interruption! I now have 30 more TBs of storage and 2 drive error protection.
