Antireflection, fully multicoated, extra-low dispersion (ED) glass with dielectric coated and phase-coated BAK4 prisms deliver bright, sharp, true-color images. The 62.4° apparent field of view presents a generous segment of the horizon and the 9.8' close-focus distance allows a good look at that nearby butterfly or bird. Designed to stand up to a lifetime of outdoor use, the Sport HD II features a lightweight, rubber-armored magnesium chassis and the optical tubes are nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed to make them waterproof and resistant to internal fogging.

A: We haven't really had any feedback other than positive. As in the reviews indicate. The Eye Relief is 15.6 mm.

[32 mm] I had done a lot of internet research to find the best bang for the buck in binoculars. The Cornell Lab ornithology group published a review in 2013 that identified the Zeiss Conquest HD 8x32 binocular as the best in class and more recent reviews identified the Zeiss Victory SF 8x42 as the very best. I evaluated both binoculars over a two week period and found the Victory to be slightly brighter with just a slight increase in low light visibility and slightly greater ease of getting a full field view due to its larger exit pupil. However, to my eyes, I did not see differences in clarity or sharpness. On balance, it was clear to me that the views from the Conquest were virtually equal to that of the Victory and it had a more compact form factor and was about a third the price. I kept the Conquest and have never had second thoughts. 5

[32 mm] These binoculars are truly fantastic. I have an old pair of trinovid 8x40 that were completely refurbished by Leica about 2 yrs ago. I thought they were great but these blow them away. What amaze me is these new one are even better in dim light than the old ones. I am used to high end glass, owning several top if the line line Nikon camera lens and spotting scopes. Only draw back is these a a little heavier than expected and the case is completely useless after the strap is installed 5

[32 mm] I use a lot of different types, brands, and powers of binos and telescopes, so I know clear and bright when I see them. These are my go-to glasses for birding. The combination of size, weight, build quality, price, low light visibility, and function is unmatched, unless you want to pay $3500 for NL Pure. 5

[32 mm] Leica, Zeiss, and Swarokski are all excellent binos. I owned a Leica 8x32 Trinovid, it was stolen. To replace it, I tried comparable priced binos from all 3 mfgs, and preferred the Leica for crisp color. So I bought another pair of Trinovids. 5

[Roof (BAK4)] Incredible optics: clear, bright, true colors, edge to edge consistency. Outstanding field of view. Fast focusing. A tiny bit heavy for 8X32s, but in exchange for optics I can live with the weight, lighter than any of the 8x42s. Very comfortable neck strap that comes with the binoculars. 5

[4 mm] These binoculars are lightweight, compact and offer a bright, sharp image. Very high quality build. I wear glasses and wish they had a little more eye relief but other than that highly recommended. I use them almost exclusively for birding. 5

[8x] Just buy them, you won't regret it. Clarity, colors, sharpness, close focus, glare control, ergonimics are all exceptional! The only downside I would say is they are pretty big for 8x32s and barely smaller then the 8x42. I purchased them for the incredible close focus (my pair does just under 3'!) and ended up selling my 8x42 because these 8x32s were every bit as good even in low light, the 8x42 only out did them by a couple minutes in super low light. I love these binos and bring them everywhere. 5

[9.8' / 3 m] These are terrific binoculars. Wide field of view, stunningly clear image, fast focus, and comfortable with eyeglasses. Also not too heavy around the neck. I upgraded from an old pair of Celestron Noble 8x42s that had served me very well, but these are in another class entirely. 5
