With magnifying power of 32x and easy, both-eyes-open viewing, the Oberwerk BT-100XL-ED Binocular Telescope for Astronomyfrom Oberwerk BT-100XL-ED Binocular Telescope for Astronomyprovides a satisfying alternative to traditional telescopes for astronomical or long-range terrestrial observation. The BT-100XL-ED is built with broadband fully multicoated, extra-low dispersion objective lenses that minimize chromatic aberration or color fringing.  Unlike a telescope, the optic is fitted with prisms that cause the image to be upright, so you can observe distant ships, breaching whales, and mountain peaks in addition to celestial objects.

The BT-100XL-ED can be "go-to" automated by using the separately sold iOptron HAZ31 Strain Wave Alt-Az Mount. The eyepieces are angled at 45° for comfortable viewing and the optical tubes have a large interpupillary adjustment range, so everyone from children to adults can enjoy the view. Binocular telescopes are far more portable than standard telescopes and do not require specialized mounts—an ordinary tripod with a 3/8"-16 or 1/4"-20 mounting stud will do, provided it is rated for a 12.5 lb payload.

Q: 1. Is the Grip-Action Ballhead removeable, to be mounted on a tripod?

A: The grip head on the Oberwerk 2000 Tall Monopod with Grip-Action Head is removable.

Q: 2. Do these binoculars have a locking diopter?

      A: No locking diopter

Q: 3. ALL sites say the Esprit came with a 3 focuser, but B&H describe the focuser as been a 2 . which is correct? 2 or 3 ?

A: The focuser is 3.4 inches. The eyepiece size it uses is 2 inches.

Q: 4. I have a approximately 2003 version of the Celestron CGE 1100 with computerized mount. Will the Esprit 80 mm scope fit onto this mount?

A: Unfortunately your mount will not work with this scope. You would need a Altazimuth Mount. A nice Motorized Mount you could do is the Sky-Watcher AllView Mount. Website link: http://bhpho.to/1HZzX1D

Q: 5. What is the best tracking stand that works best with this scope?

A: The Sky-Watcher EQ6-R Pro Equatorial GoTo Mount with Tripod Kit is a very good choice.: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1584520-REG/sky_watcher_s30300_eq6_r_pro_equatorial_goto.html

Q: 6. Where does it made from?

A: The GPO USA 10x42 Passion ED Binoculars are made in China.

Q: 7. Would these be suitable or good for boating viewing over water?

A: So these would somewhat work on Land. However on a Boat might not be the choice since there will be a lot of movement. I would recommend going with a 7X50 Binocular for the Boat. The Nikon 7x50 Action Extreme ATB Binoculars would be a great option. Link: https://bhpho.to/3m0rzas

Q: 8. What is the warranty for this model?

A: The Oberwerk 15x70 Ultra Binoculars include a Limited 2-Year Manufacturer Warranty.

Q: 9. Would the Zeiss Terra 1042 fit this case?

A: Yes the ZEISS Field Case for Terra ED 42 Binocular will fit the Zeiss Terra 10x42 binoculars.

Q: 10. Can I use multiple filters like IR cut filter, light pollution filter at the same time with this scope for astrophotogrphy?.

A: You might get some vignetting or stacking effect with using these filters at the same time. You can try it and see. It's really trial and error.

[100 mm] very dim RED light for saving night vision. This also has a push pull lens to defocus the RED beam and make it even dimmer.

[100 mm] As an older guy, I have learned good glass is sometimes the difference between successes and failures in a hunt/operation. These are the second set of Regals I have and was VERY impressed with the clarity of them. I am retired now and bought these Binoculars mainly for hunting Moose, Bears, and 4 legged predators. They compare to much more expensive sets I have gone through belonging to work.

[100 mm] Nice and bright, as to be expected with an 8X42. Eye relief is excellent, as advertised, very helpful for this eyeglasses wearer. Focus is smooth and precise.

[Porro (BAK4)] just runs on one battery, but still a nice bright red and also a lower light setting as well. I like how I can hang it from my neck.

[Porro (BAK4)] I am surprised to find how much I can see for being only 7x due to excellent clarity and contrast. Controls are all perfect (if you don't require a very stiff focus wheel). Very good edge to edge clarity. I recommend these. A little hefty in weight but I like this as it holds very steady for me.

[100 mm] We have rather a large collection of very good bins but needed something light and small enough to travel with. These are pretty much perfect, the field of view is gorgeous, edge to edge is excellent, feel in the hand is outstanding. Do you give up anything over an 8? Here birders will differ. I had a zeiss 7x42 and I never found that the 7 was a problem or that there was a real difference in detail seen. So if you are not in the Z or S market, these are really good.

[Individual] Like my Meade 8x42 Master Class Pro EDs, these Celestron 8x42 Regal EDs are the best binoculars I've ever looked through at this price! As do my Meades, these Celestron binoculars approach my Swarovski 8.5x42 ELs, are as good as my Zeiss 8x42 Conquest HDs and are better than my Leica 8x42 Trinovid HDs. They have excellent eye relief, a terrific 8 degree FOV, are tack sharp across the entire field with a very immersive view, like my Swarovski. Zeiss and Meades. I also like their hard carrying case and the included harness. Like the aforementioned binoculars, these Celestron Regals, performance wise, are easily my 5th pair of Alphas. They perform as well, and are in the same league, as my much more expensive European made binoculars. These binoculars are a total steal at this price and are worth at least $200-300 more. If you want European quality and don't want to break the bank, these are definitely your binoculars! I am so glad I made this purchase. Thanks, B&H!

[40x] (for the 8x42 Regal ED) Blown away. When I received them I was very impressed. It had been a few years since I had used some other great Binoculars but my first impression was that these might be as good as the best I have ever used. Was not sure until I had a chance to compare with a friend. He had a pair of $1000 Nikon 10x42. Four different people used both and with zero hesitation declared the Celestrons easily superior. WOW

[2.5 mm] Whoa!! It was quite a surprise to look through these after using our old Bushnells. They're compact and light. Flip down covers and a well padded case are a nice addition. The image is bright, clear, and very sharp. A huge upgrade and totally worth it for my aging eyes. Our birder friends recommended these and they're perfect for us. Nice to have a harness included in the basic kit.
