[Twist Lock] I love this monopod. Super durable and lightweight, easy to use, looks dope. Really changed the game for my shooting. Highly recommend for anyone!

[Twist Lock] This monopod offers probably the quickest way to go from a handheld shot to a stable position, while still keeping the footprint small when shooting in a busy or small space. I would advise caution when considering it for travel however, as the smallest footprint for the monopod after removing the legs and any head attachments is still too large to fit in a carry-on size luggage. I would say that this monopod is best suited for either fast paced video production in places where the footprint of a tripod is not an option, or for travel videography where you want the least friction in getting a stable shot but don’t have the option to, or want to rely on IBIS/OIS. In a pinch, this would also work for long exposure photography, but I would advise against it if that is your primary application as it can sway in the wind or with nearby vibrations and there isn’t a simple way to stabilize it further than what it offers out of the box.

[Aluminum] I purchased the round base monopod to use as a platform for my teleprompter and camera - and it's superb. Extremely stable, easily adjustable and strong. It's an awesome product.

[Twist Lock] I just finished filming a four day music festival in Ithaca NY using the Cobra 3. After holding this monopod for hours at a time, I can you tell you that the light weight carbon fiber makes a big difference!! Cam extension levers make it easy to adjust the height while filming without shaking the video footage. This is a must for anyone that shoots live music!!!

[Aluminum] I wanted to replace the space-hogging tripod that I've been using for my desktop teleprompter and this round based monopod fits the bill perfectly. Robust enough to carry the weight of the teleprompter but with a low profile that doesn't take up a bunch of space on my desk. 5 stars!

[Twist Lock] On the recommendation of Jordan Drake (yes, thatjordandrake), I purchased the iFootage Cobra 3 Carbon Fiber Monopod unseen. The carbon fiber weight saving is insignificant, but carbon fiber will not stick to flesh in subfreezing weather, unlike aluminum. The tripod base will support the monopod and head standing alone if the ball socket at the base is properly tensioned, but one should not risk leaving the monopod unattended with an expensive camera mounted on top. The sliding red ring locks at both ends allow the monopod to be disassembled and reconfigured, but require two strong hands to operate, not a thumb and finger. A Manfrotto 209 Tabletop Tripod is more pocketable and convenient for lightweight low angle work than the iFootage mini tripod base. B&H having delisted the matching iFootage heads, I purchased my Cobra 3 with the Manfrotto 234RC Tilt Head. Safely manipulating a ball&socket head with a camera on a monopod is a three hand operation; an up-and-down tilt head is easier to manage. iFootage also provides a hex key to adjust the clamp tension, but my Cobra 3 was perfectly adjusted out of the box. Altogether, the Cobra 3 is a well-made, versatile, and functional product. Highly recommended.
