[15.0" (38.1 cm)] OK, let me start by telling you by what I was looking for in a camera, mini DV bag.I wanted a light durable bag, that could pack down in a rucksack or my bigger camera case ready for action. I don't always want to carry my big journalist bag, but when I go out and about I want proper protection.This bag is exceptionally durable. It packs down flat, but is rugged enough to protect your camera (it has a slightly stiffer back). The zip on the side allows you to expand the case. I have a Nikon d90 camera which fits in their comfortably with a another lens and my notebook - similarly I can carry my mini-HDVD camera with the D90.The belt strap allows you to carry it around the waist or slung holster style over your shoulder.A neat velcro lid allows you to seal and open the bag quickly.I've never written an ... review before, although I'm usually an avid reading of other people's entries. This bag has moved to write! Having trashed my last camera because I didn't have a handy enough small bag, and having searched long and hard for the right one, I thoroughly delighted to found the perfect bag.The only down side is the bags price - there are cheaper ones out there, but none that pack down so nicely while offering so much protection. And if there's one way to ease the pain of buying the bag - it's made in America! so your bucks of going to someone down the street *!

[15.0" (38.1 cm)] I picked up this bag as a solution for carrying the Sony FX3 with the OEM top handle and ECM-XM1 mic affixed. It's a perfect fit. A Tenba Tools Box 6 fits snugly in the main body of the bag too, for storing extra accessories, but also supporting the mic on the camera. I'm pretty happy with this combination!

[Zipper] We purchased two of these SAN-2 sandbags based upon Portabrace's outstanding build quality and durability. Each sandbag has two zippered pouches, which contain two interior bags to hold the sand. These bags have a triple fold top, with the final fold secured by a full bag width velcro closure which is at least 1 inch tall. We had several 35 pound dried sand in a tube packs which are used for additional traction in cars and pickup trucks in winter conditions, so we decided to sacrifice one. Each interior bag comfortably held 8.5 pounds of sand, and fit snugly (but easily) into the zippered compartment. Stray sand was brushed off of the walls of the interior bag, below the velcro closure, before sealing and there has been no sand leakage. Total weight of each SAN-2 ended up at 17.75 pounds. Even though the bags are rated for up to 15 pounds, the bags easily handled the additional weight. The top of each bag has a wide red strap handle with a chrome metal safety latch and ring, allowing you to secure the bag around a light stand or tripod. Underneath is a red flyaway strap handle that runs the entire length of the bag, allowing the SAN-2 to be flipped over and draped over a light stand leg. The Portabrace sandbag is constructed of 1000-denier Cordura fabric with nylon webbing for the strap handles and has double-stitched seams. All Portabrace bags are proudly Made in the USA by skilled craftsmen and it shows!

[0.3 lb] When running to grab an interview, I've always worried about my stick mic rattling around in my camera bag or falling out of my jacket pocket. With this holster those worries are gone. If it's in the bag, the holster material cushions the mic - and if not, the holster slips onto my belt so it's close at hand when needed.

[Belt loop] We are often doing events where we do a lot of run and gun and need to carry everything with us. This holster attaches to us, so we can't forget or lose it.
