Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I would like more of hte internal red velcro bumpers for this bag- Sony accessories and parts does not have them listed as for sale. Any idea where I can get these?

A: The extra dividers can be provided by Sony as a replacement part. https://bit.ly/1K3EEct

Q: 2. Where is the laptop compartment and does the zipper open at the top or side?

A: If you are wearing the backpack, the laptop compartment is the closest compartment to your back. As noted in another response, the shoulder straps attach to the top of the laptop compartment, and the zipper is to the right side if you are wearing the backpack. The laptop compartment opens to the side and the zipper starts at the top and pulls downward to open the compartment. Most compartments have two zipper pulls for access, but the laptop compartment does not. More than asked: I have fully loaded the backpack with 2 bodies with 70-200 & 24-105 lenses attached, and all the other glass I could fit in plus gadgets, plus a Dell Precision (not light) laptop. The backpack had to have weighed 40-50 lbs very heavy load on your back, but the backpack did not wince I may have a couple times . . .. Because of the weight when fully loaded, I sometimes choose to carry the laptop separately. When I bought, some reviews complained about the weight when fully loaded, but they did not add stars for the amount of equipment this thing will carry. It is designed to be the maximum carry-on size for a plane and barely fit into the overhead bin, not under a seat. You might even need to pull the laptop to get it in the overhead if you put as much in the backpack as I did. If travelling by car, it is really nice to use this as the primary storage container to leave in the trunk & just pull what is needed at the time into a smaller bag. The Ruggard product is extremely well made. If tanks were made of cloth, this would be a prime example. I would buy it again in a heartbeat.

Q: 3. I am using an a6000 and i have a 55-210 50mm and the kit lens and about to have a 30 mm macro will it all fit?

A: Yes. I use it for my Nikon D810, 50mm and 24-70 couple of flashes. It has plenty of space.

Q: 4. Can this bag hold and protect a Nikon Z7 body with 28-70 f4, 70-200 f4, and 200-500 f5.6 lenses?

A: Technically yes you can but it is a very awkward and a very odd design. I would recommend going to a bag that is a bit bigger and better laid out with better shoulder padding for that much gear.

Q: 5. Are the velcro dividers pretty strong? My current backpack have weak dividers, can support hold a small prime lens.

A: Yes, the dividers on the have a strong dual velcro strip which matches perfectly with the hi-tech fiber material inside the bag. The dividers will hold large and small equipment.

Q: 6. Does this really have an internal camera area accessible only by emptying the top compartment and removing the Velcro divider?

A: In the Gitzo Legende Camera Backpack (14L, Dark Brown/Light Brown) you can access the camera via the zippered side access.

Q: 7. Will this backpack work with 16 inch MacBook Pro?

A: Yes. Unit will provide a nice snug fit for your 16 inch MacBook pro.

Q: 8. Will a Canon 5D Mark IV and 2 long zoom lenses fit with any room to spare?

A: No - I am almost certain 2 long zoom lenses will not fit in this bag with a Canon 5D. Usually, I have a Canon 6D with a 24-105mm attached, along with the hood. I also carry a 20mm prime. I sometimes squeeze in a 100-400 along with these, but the hood won't fit in the bag - I have to take the hood off. When I have the long lens, my bag gets kindof distorted.

Q: 9. Will this bag hold a Fujifilm GFX100s 32-64 G mount and 100-200 G mount lens? I also have a 16" MacBook. Looks like a good day trip bag.

A: No, a Fujifilm GFX100S with a GF 32-64mm Lens and a GF 100-200mm lens cannot fit in this National Geographic Africa Camera Backpack M for DSLR/CS.

Q: 10. can the upper compartment divider be removed to access low gear compartment? so there is more space to take a 300mm attached to the camera and accesed from uper?

A: Yes it is removable

[2.41 lb] I have owned this bag for over a year. Now that travel is back, on I was finally able to give it a good test on a 3-week overseas trip. I used it as both a camera bag and day bag. The main bag insert is very roomy for my Lumix mirrorless camera with 20mm lens, additional wide and tele zoom lenses, and a half liter bottle of water with some snacks. In place of the water bottle, one could carry a table top tripod or whatever. Plenty of room on either side of the camera insert for manuals, cables, and lens cleaning stuff. I carry a plastic grocery bag beneath the insert as an emergency rain cover. The side pockets hold a folding Watson charger and plug adapter on one side, and a small pouch containing spare batteries and SD cards on the other. The rear zippered slash pocket is perfect for cell phone, maps, tickets, etc… The outer front snap pocket is a great place for some small bills or coins (public toilets in Europe cost….) while the front zip slash pocket remains unused so far. If anything the bag is a bit large for my rig; several times I found myself just taking my camera with lens and leaving the bag behind. Hint: if you do this, remember to take a spare battery! The leather is very sturdy and durable. Not soft and supple like a jacket or pair of gloves. I treated mine with a few coats of saddle oil to both water seal and darken it up a bit.
The only potential fault I see with this bag is the attachment of the flap clasp to the front of the bag. It appears to be pressed into the leather somehow. Mine has begun to wiggle around a bit. When lifting the bag by the top handle all of the weight is on that clasp; if the clasp were to pull out there is no way to secure the flap. So far so good at this point but will monitor.
In closing, if one is looking for an attractive leather camera bag that can double as a day bag, is roomy and has plenty of pockets, and does not look like the atypical black nylon camera bag, give this bag a hard look.

[2.41 lb] I love the look of this stylish untreated leather bag. It holds 1 camera and 1 medium length lens inside with storage pockets for extra batteries and cards. It's good as a 1 camera bag for a light gig or personal shooting.

[Empty] This is a much smaller bag than what I've been using, but that was what I was looking for. I wanted a stylish, yet sturdy, bag that could hold my DSLR and one extra lens for casual outings. Plus this has enough pockets to hold a couple of filters, SD cards, and a small wallet. The strap is long enough that I could use this as a cross-over bag.
Five stars, but two minor things I didn't like: 1) the bag is darker than the website image; and 2) the top flaps on the divider have velcro (too noisy when you want to be unnoticed). I was able to tuck the velcro-ed pads to the sides and just won't use them unless needed for rough & tumble events like taking as a carryon for a flight.
Looking forward to using this bag.

[Brown] Love this pack! Good org on pockets and stable sitting on ground, so very easy to access things. Good looking, no loose straps or floppy pockets, suitcase strap perfectly centered to hold bag better than my previous pack. Lightweight and efficient size for travel. Very disappointed Samsung discontinued since I liked the blue and could only find the black model, I hope they have equivalent when it comes time to replace this in 10 years.
