To power your NEON monitor on location from a battery rather than from mains power, use this AtomX Core Power Box with XLR Cable for NEON Monitorfrom Atomos. Developed with Core SWX, this durable aluminum power box provides stable operation for the power-hungry NEON monitors that have a 380W output. A power on/off switch on the side allows you to cut the power to preserve the batteries when not in use.

Two V-mount battery plates on either side of the unit require batteries with a minimum of 12A load to provide stable power for the monitor. The monitor is then powered using the included 3-pin XLR power cable. It is recommended to have battery packs that are equal in capacity and output to operate, such as two Core SWX NEO 9, NEO 150, or HelixMax V-mount batteries.

[Aluminum] Hi guys, for those of you who encountered Magenta or Red tint, it's probably because it is in the DCI-P3 colorspace. Switch it to Rec709 and you should see the familiar colors.

[380 W, 20 A] I researched for V-mount and external battery power options and could not find any information other than runs on mains. I have a Sumo 19 and love it, it runs on external batteries. But it is just too large to lug around on those light gigs. I take my Samuri 7 but its small. Since the Sumo runs on Batts I figures the Neon 17 would as well. I did not expect the 25 and up to run on externals but the 17?
I received the Neon 17 its nice 4 sure. But its 19v, so no way to run in on batteries. I did receive and email from Atomos, and I have to say they are great, they did confirm the Maines power, meaning plug it in or on a geni. Well now I know what that means. So Neons do not have an external battery option just an fyi.

[380 W, 20 A] I just received my Neon 24, after waiting for over a year. For the past 7 years, I've been relying on color timing with a Flanders Scientific CM-171. This Atomos monitor is the best image I have ever seen. I'm seeing things in my grade I've never noticed before. And I am referring to SDR grading. I haven't even scratched the surface of the HDR capability, yet. All in all, a bit pricey, but, I think the cost is quite worth the image quality.

[V-Mount] Just loosen before use, then you can adjust angle without the tool. Works great. Love the quick release.

[Connector] It's a fantastic SDR/HDR monitoring solution at a great price point. I'd only ask for the ability to adjust the viewing angle on a flat surface. That said I couldn't argue with the features, given the price points of other HDR monitors on the market. I'm very satisfied.

It's pictured below with color bars.
