Freeze water droplets with the newly designed Miops Splash Water Drop Kit V2.0 Photography Accessoryfrom MIOPS, which upgrades the regulator with a new machined aluminum design that prevents water leakage. The new design makes it easier to disassemble and clean and improves the triggering function. The kit also includes an 11" articulating arm, a PC flash sync cable, and a USB power cable. The system allows the user to set the size of the drops as well as the interval between drops.

The MIOPS Splash allows you to easily dispense customizable drops of water while syncing their release with your flash or camera. It features wireless operation via Bluetooth connectivity and allows you to adjust settings and trigger shots directly from your iOS or Android smartphone with a dedicated mobile app. The unit can dispense a single drop for a simpler shot or up to four drops in quick succession for a splashing effect. Drop size can be adjusted by controlling the duration of the valve, and you can change the delay for triggering the camera or flash to get the perfect shot; when set to two or more drops, you can also control the delay between each drop for improved results.

The MIOPS Splash offers two jacks for synchronizing with your equipment, a 3.5mm slot for a flash cable and a 2.5mm slot for a camera cable. A flash cable is provided with the product and connects to any speedlight with PC sync. MIOPS Splash can have its firmware updated via the app and runs on USB via the included micro-USB power cable.

A: You can go to miops web site and from there you can ask them. They are very good at replying back and if anything is wrong with the device they will gladly give you a new one . Very good on warranty I got a bad connection and sent my a new one right away.????

Q: 3. Will this work with an Iphone that does not have a headphone jack?

A: It should still work using the Lightning to 3.5mm adapter that most iPhones without a headset port comes with.

Q: 4. How does this compare to a vello shutterboss 2 with remote and cable?

A: I can't compare this to the shutterboss but I can compare to the Vello Stryker Lightning WHICH SUCKS! I have had it for almost 2 months and it does not work properly. B&H will not accept it for a return so I have had to obtain an RMA form the distributor and send it there. I have since bought the MIOPS and used it for fireworks on the weekend. It was very easy to use and work exactly as I expected! Very happy with it so far...waiting for lightning now!

Q: 8. What Kind of camera settings do your reccomend with this device ? (Program, manual, TV or Av) my camera is a Canon 1D M.II. thank you

A: I would recommend using Manual mode, though you may wish to experiment with the other settings. Mipos website only states to set the camera to manual focus, and for shots of lightning, set the focus to infinity, and when using Sound or HDR modes, set the shutter speed to BULB. However, you would have the most control over your images using Manual mode, and then can change the aperture or shutter speed to make any changes needed to correct your initial exposure.

Q: 9. Does the app or the product have the live mode feature? I mean to turn my phone into a flipscreen and see myself

A: This product would allow you control your Sony camera using the Miops app when shooting time lapse or long exposures. If the intent is to shoot with your Sony camera using Live View, then that can be done with the free Sony Imaging Edge app and a Wi-Fi connection from your camera.

Q: 10. I originally bought this for my Sony A7R IV. I have since switched to Canon R5. Can I use this on my Canon?

[1.9 lb] The first I got didn't work but B&H exchanged promptly, and, the new one works perfectly. It does work excellent with sound and laser. Good with strikes but need to get practice to get good results. Have not tried with other options. 5

[1.9 lb] Arrived within a week delivered to Australia which was Great , Setting up the unit was easy , I used camera trigger mode , In the instructions there was no mention however to the amount of water to put in apparently as long as the water is above the tube all good , I should have ordered the Camera connection cable , but I suppose a lot of cameras have different fittings , It’s taken me about 300 photos to try to get images close , patience is required. A fully sealed unit very easy to connect with Bluetooth and the app works Great 5

[1.9 lb] I was playing with this thing over the weekend - using the sound activation, the lightning mode (by quickly flashing a light at it) and the laser (a light shining on it that has a shadow passed over is enough to trigger it if sensitivity is turned up). What a fun tool - can trigger the camera, and a flash with a cable. Everything worked perfectly. Looking forward to a thunderstorm to do an actual lightning capture - the main reason I bought it. 5

[1.9 lb] It works as advertised. Bought it primarily to take images of lightning. used it for the first time during a storm a week after I received it and it was able to capture lightning perfectly. The sound and laser features work great as well, though I have not used them as extensively. Just testing. The color scheme and box design needs work, but the menu system is intuitive and the unit works like a charm. 5

[1.9 lb] This thing ended up being awesome took a Stanley laser level took it apart took the lens off for constant laser to the miops trigger the miops trigger lasted two days without recharging and still has lots of battery left can't wait to try the other features 5
