A: The Lavalier requires a Micon connector to plug into any device. The correct Micon for smartphone use is the Micon 11. Once plugged in, it will become the default audio input device for the iPhone and will work with any recording app.

A: The MINIFUR-LAV by Rode is only a windshield. No mic included. The Rode Lav however which is pictured for reference, features a proprietary connector that allows you to choose the proper connection for a particular transmitter or application. Q: 8. Does this fit the MM-MSLM Microphone Madness lav without the foam? I lost mine at a gig.

A: Hi Adrian. This is not a mic we have tested with our Lavalier Windjammers here at Rycote HQ, but based on the capsule measurements I believe it will work. Note that you will need to use the supplied foam inserts to securely hold the capsule inside the Windjammer (these ship inside the packets). I hope that helps!

A: This umbrella has a 7mm tapered tip that fits most lights, including European and more specialized models.

Q: 10. Can this windjammer be used with a Sennheiser ME-4 lav mic?

A: I use it fine with the ME-2 lav mic. I have never used it with the ME-4 which is a little fatter on top but this windjammer stretches and looks like it should fit the ME-4. The windjammer only cost $20 so you might order it and try it out and if it doesnt work with your mic then you can return it.
