A: No, you cannot use the Tilta 95mm Circular Polarizer for Mirage Matte Box and the Tilta 95mm Variable ND Filter for Mirage Matte Box at the same time as the Tilta Mirage Matte Box can only hold one at a time.

Q: 2. Will this mattebox fit a standard Arri LMB-25 tray? Will it work with a standard rota-pola for an Arri LMB mattebox?

A: Yes, ARRI LMB-25 trays and rota-pola will fit in this matte box.

Q: 3. I'm looking for something that fits the sony PZ 28-135mm. Would this fit the 105mm diameter with an adapter?

A: No, the Tilta 3-Stage 4 x 5.65” Carbon Fiber Clip-On Matte Box will not be able to attach to the Sony PZ 28-135 mm. You would need to measure the front of the lens with a caliper to get the diameter of the end of the lens. Another option would be to work with the included 15 mm rod mount and a 15 mm baseplate that allows you to work with 15 mm rods. It could be mounted that way.

Q: 4. Is it possible to use donuts with this matte box?

A: I don't see why not. You would have to source the rubber and custom cut them but other than that it should work if the lenses barrels are flat enough and their is no in/out extension while focusing.

Q: 5. Does this hold two filters?

A: According to Tilta, you can mount two 95mm filers in the same tray.

Q: 6. Can I pair this ND filter with the DZO Arles prime lenses?

A: We do not see any issues using the Tilta 95mm Circular Polarizer for Mirage Matte Box with the a DZOFilm Arles Cine Lens.

Q: 7. What are the dimensions and depth from frame to lens mount?

A: We believe you are asking what is the distance from front to the back of the matte box. Our guesstimate would be about 4 /10cm.

Q: 8. Does this come with step down rings?

A: The Tilta MB-T12 does not come with step-down rings.

Q: 9. Do they make a swing away adapter for this?

A: We are not aware of a Swing Away Adapter for this Matte Box.

Q: 10. Is it possible to get with 80mm instead of 85mm?

A: The kit does come with an 80mm back. The description on the B&H website is incorrect -- the matte box comes with 80mm, 95mm, 114mm, 134mm backings.

[0.185 lb] This filter does a nice job softening the digital edges in a very subtle way (might be too subtle for some, but great for news/doc to not overdramatize the look.) Fits great with Tilta Mirage, eager to compare to Tilta's new Illusion line. 5

[Glass] I really like the pure mist. I have the 1/8 and it's probably the one that just lives on the mattebox. Just enough to soften the contrast and smooth the image but not enough to make a statement. When you want more of that effect step up to the 1/4. I think the 1/2 is just to strong for most use cases. 5

[Glass] I think I will leave this in the matte box permanently. It provides a nice effect. I have not used it outdoors in the sun yet, but indoors I think it maintains details where they should be and also softens point light sources. 5

[0.185 lb] Not a fan of the pure mist look, but these black mist give the perfect balance of diffusion and clarity. 1/4 looks nice too, but can be a bit heavy handed for backlit scenarios. 1/8 is a great all-rounder. 5

[0.185 lb] So I love this dual tray. It's actually much more secure and secure than I anticipated. But this piece is just one piece to a potentially expensive puzzle. If your like me, you probably bought this intending this to solve the issue of wanting to hold multiple filter. Which is not an issue, but your really going to want the stackable tray holder to go along with this. The very delicate Vaxis filters need to live in their own filter trays without being taken out during a shoot day. So you will want the ability to "hot swap" them quickly. At least this dual tray allows you to keep two filters together that will likely live together like a pure mist and polarizer while you swap out the IRNDs depending on the ND strength you need. Still glad I bought this but it didn't solve my immediate problem with "swapping quickly" during a fast pace shoot day. What shoot day isn't fast paced??? 5
