If you lose track of the correct side after removing the film from the box you can determine printable side by touching a damp fingertip to film at the edge. The correct side for ink will be sticky.

A: The package I bought cites 7 Mil. I put a very tired micrometer on a sheet and I'd say that is correct. Certainly closer to 7 than to 4 mil.I have to add that I was never able to get reasonable saturation or density in my prints (SureColor P800 with Epson pigment ink. I got a far better result printing on glossy paper (without watermark on the back) and backlighting that. I don't remember if I put the ink side in or out.
