[AMP 6-Pin Male] I have an older Sony Handycam and use a Mac. I have had a heck of a time figuring out how to transfer video from the Sony to my computer. With this cable, I finally have a workaround. I feed the signal from the Handicap through the A/V port (digital) using this cable to a VCR. Then I use the Roxio VHS to DVD cable to go from the VCR to the Mac computer. With this setup, I'm able to transfer my video. The Sony Handicam apparently doesn't support USB transfer to Mac computers, which is why I had to figure out this workaround. 5

[AMP 6-Pin Male] The iLink on my SONY GV-HD700 was not recognized on my Mac OS14 so I resolved this issue by bypassing iLink with the A/V output connected to a Pearstone 10-Pin A/V Cable for Sony Handycam connected to an Elgato USB Analog Video Capture Device. Works like a charm for capturing video. 5

[AMP 6-Pin Male] I have a Handycam DV tape camera, and for years I have tried periodically to transfer tapes to my computer. I'm fairly adept at solving these kinds of problems, but I guess I had lost the similar cable that came with the camera (if one was included). I tried to use the iLink but it wouldn't work with my Mac. In fact, way I finally was able to transfer from my camera to the Mac was to go from camera to VHS player with this tape, and then from the VHS player to the computer with the Roxio VHS to DVD (for Mac) cable/software. There may be a better way, but now I finally have a solution! 5
