A: Songs are not built into this device. You would want to stream music from a mobile device and connect that to an hdmi tv input, or from a smart tv itself, and run the audio out of the tv to the karaoke receiver. Then you'd run the audio out of the receiver into the RCA or 1/8'' audio input of your speaker/ home receiver.

A: The KJ-6000 does need to be connected to other devices for sources of audio and video, and output to hear the sound and view video or song lyrics. The KJ-6000 is a mixer which enables connection of different audio sources such as CD, tape and MP3 players or turntables to play music, as well as A/V (audio/video) players such as DVD, CDG (CD with graphics), VCD (video CD) for audio with video content. Video output from the KJ-6000 can be connected to a TV while audio output can be connected to the input of an external sound system like a home stereo system, PA amplifier or mixer and speakers, or a recorder to capture the performance. The KJ-6000 is compatible for 110 to 230 VAC and includes a power cable with a standard plug for use in North America.
