[Sony E] Super happy with the image from this sub $1000 lens. Great focal length when paired with the 24mm,35mm, and 50mm.

[T1.9] Love this lens! But I have it setup with the DJI Lidar RS as well and haven't used it on it's own outside of basic testing.


The lens itself is very nice - solid construction with a decent front loaded weight, and an easy enough to balance shimming system for mount swapping. The glass offers a lot of character with minor fringing and fairly low distortion, get it for that classic softer cine look and don't expect it to be the cleanest/sharpest lens around. I personally love how it rolls off the highlights and still gives details in the skin but also a bit of softness, when paired with my c70.


All that said, I bought this lens as part of a whole setup to solve a specifc problem, and for that purpose I couldn't be happier! I shoot mainly with a c70 in solo operating conditions as a b-cam op. This lens not only solves most of my focusing issues, but it also serves as the fastest setup with it's auto calibration feature when paired with DJI's Lidar RS. Now I get a decent jump in hitting focus while in auto via the Lidar mod, and I have the added benefit of more unique cine lens look vs my native Canon DSLR glass. It's awesome, and has performed perfectly for me so far! I only wish that they'd release a wider 21mm Cyber or maybe a 16 or 18 instead.

[Sony E] I had some hesitation in purchasing this lens. In this case you get more than what you paid for. The build quality and optics are fantastic at this price point. Sharp wide open and tack sharp at 2.8. Nearly zero focus breathing. A good long, smooth throw on the focus. Smooth aperture adjustment. The lens was smaller than expected, which is perfect for mounting on my Sigma FP L rig.

[46.0 mm] These lenses are phenomenal for the cost. If you've worked with a variety of the more budget-friendly cine lenses, you'll tell the difference as soon as you hold this lens, but then you'll be blown away as soon as you see it through the monitor. I've been putting my gfx100ii with one of these lenses in the hands of my filmmaker friends and asking for first impressions and watching their response echo my own says it all.

[85mm] The NiSi PL adapter for DJI DL Mount is currently the lightest PL adapter out for the DJI system. This works perfectly on my Ronin 4D system. I'm using it to adapt Cinema and Anamorphic PL lenses. The NiSi Athena adapter works without any calibration needed, just remove the DL mount and install this and you are good to go. You do still need the DJI X9 Counterweight when adapting heavier lenses. Overall very happy as it works perfectly.

[85mm] I got this NiSi lens with a few others to have in my kit for commercial and branded content work. The image is super clean and neutral which gives a lot of flexibility in the type of work I can do with it - whether corporate or something more artistic. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a versatile lens!

[T1.9] This glass is has little CA , is built well and neutral so you can use these lenses in the real world... the DZO vespids are smaller and have a full set already...true!(as of writing only the 35mm,50mm,85mm and soon the 24mmare avail) But for about the same money you get lenses that are marginally softer and I mean barely... but but THE lack of CA cant be understated... the size and weight is small for cine not as small as dzo but I LIKE the fact they dont look like toys on my Red Gemini... I have all the current PL 35-50-85 and I used recently on Green screen all 3 performed brilliantly... these are the best BUDGET cine lenses I have ever used and Meike is straight forward about how they are able to that. Personally I can manage with just the 35 50 and 85 for most corp stuff etc but my cine work I am waiting on them to release 16mm Hopefully the 24mm ships in Nov but times are tuff.... Anyway- I cant belive the IQ and Build Q at this price - I have NO issues with filter threads as another reviewer mentioned however a good basic matte box for these on the cheap is the Tiltaing Mattebox that takes 1 4x5.65 if you just need a solution -note-you need the 85mm outer adapter for the Tilta to work in clamp on mode*its in accessories I think... anyway this is a fantastically clean lens that gives me build and mechanics needed to work in the real world...so long sigma art photo glass. !!!

[10] I won’t say that the other reviewer is wrong, cause he very well could have gotten a bad one, but this PL adapter fits my 6k full frame perfectly. Extremely snug fit with minimal to no wiggle. Have to really pull at it to get wiggle. My Blazar Remus PL’s fit extremely well and snug on the adapter end (as they should since it locks). All in all it’s a perfect adapter for me.

[T1.9] Fits great with the Blazar Remus Anamorphic lenses with the R5C! Have had no issues with the mount seizing to the lens like I have seen in one or two reviews. I think as long as you don’t over tighten it you are good. Everything fits snug too so no play between the lens and the adapter or the camera. It even has a waterproof seal between the camera and adapter which is cool. Would recommend if you don’t need autofocus or ND.
