The Celestron PowerSeeker 80AZ Refractor Telescopefrom Celestron PowerSeeker 80AZ Refractor Telescopeis designed as an entry-level telescope for wide-field viewing of bright deep space objects, planets, and the moon. Its 80mm objective lens and 400mm focal length give it respectable light gathering and magnification potential, while keeping the size and weight manageable. The manual alt-azimuth mount and 5x24 finderscope makes finding objects as easy as point-and-aim.
The scope comes with an eyepiece that produces a magnification 20x, and the 1.25" rack-and-pinion focuser will accept any optional 1.25" eyepiece or accessory. For comfortable astronomical viewing, or to use it as a spotting scope, there is an included 90° erect-image diagonal to correctly orientate the subject horizontally and vertically in the field of view. To aid in terrestrial viewing, the mount has an altitude locking bar that holds the scope in place allowing you to more easily track subjects as they move. The aluminum tripod has independently adjustable legs for precise leveling on uneven terrain, and comes with a removable accessory tray.

Q: 1. Can this scope be used with a camera?
A: The PowerSeeker 80AZ is best used with a smartphone camera and can be easily attached and aligned using Celestron's Basic-Smartphone Adapter: https://www.celestron.com/products/basic-smartphone-adapter-1-25
Q: 2. What can i see with this?, my other telescope is a 40$ scope and i can barely focus on the moon with it. is this able to view stars easy with faint village sized community lights?
A: So it really depends on your sky and the clarity. This is a great scope for the price point. I would recommend not using this where there are street lights. The image will be fuzzy, and distorted.
Q: 3. What are the dimensions of the box/packing?
A: The manufacturer's original box dimensions are Ln: 30.50 Wd: 17.00 Ht: 8.60.
Q: 4. Is it possible to fit an automatic star finder to this? 5 is a big enough lens to see the hard-to-find stuff. If my kids turn out to enjoy this, I'll probably want to add a tracker. Many thanks.
A: Hello, I'm afraid I can't answer your question, because I don't have an automatic star finder, but I think it has a support to it, In the manual says that you can put automatic things on it, but I'm not sure.
Q: 5. My powerseeker eq does not have a latitude lock what can i do?

A: The scope is outfitted with a 1.25" rack-and-pinion focuser.
Q: 7. is this a spotting scope that can be used for bird watching?
A: I really don't recommend using this for Bird Watching. This is really more so for Celestial use. This would work, but might be inconvenience with 1 fixed focal length eyepiece. I would recommend going with the Celestron Ultima 80 3.1 /80mm Spotting Scope Kit. Website link: https://bhpho.to/2jl9m8N
