A: Profoto uses a different rating for each light's modeling light. But from what we see the B10 modeling light is at least 2 or more times brighter compared to the A2.

A: The Profoto A2 Monolight does not have in internal battery, but it does come with one Profoto A-Series Battery Mk II.

Q: 9. Will the A2 fire when located next to the camera and trigger? The B10 has a range close to the trigger where it will not fire.

A: Yes. The following system will trigger when next to camera and trigger.

Q: 10. Will the original battery from the Profoto A1work with the new Profoto A2?

A: You can use the same batteries in the A series including the A1 flash.

Small and portable like a can of soda, but very powerful! Very easy to use, reliable, long battery life, top build quality, a variety of magnetic and strong accesories and modifiers that also are compact but powerful and flexible, everything could fit in a small backpack plus your camera/lenses. This is all you need. (Look out for promotions in B&H and Profoto website!) 5

I have B10 x 2 heads. Wanted to have a couple more smaller lights. For a small studio space it’s fantastic. It’s so compact and so light weight size for travel, I'm so glad I bout two. It's so easy to carry and pack. Nice lightweight for an assistant to hand-held the head. So compact. Modeling light feature is great. Connectivity is a bonus. Output with the clic magnum is outstanding. 5

I love this cool little light. So much so I bought a 2nd one. Yeah, it's only 100 WS, but it works extremely well. THIS IS the future of mono lights. Best features,,,, it's small, so it will be easy to take on ANY shoot. Love the magnetic clic for accessories. You can change the settings with the profoto app on your phone.! I have used this outside in the direct sun, and while it will not overpower mid day sun, it can keep up with the right reflector or accessory. I have also used them to do studio portraits. Just incredibly handy and easy to use. A little pricey compared with the competition, but equipment that works well and is reliable is more important to me than cheap. I do hope Profoto eventually comes out with a A2 PLUS version with more power. 5
