This 15mm LWS Baseplate from SHAPE is specifically designed to work with the Sony BURANO. The baseplate, which features threaded holes for mounting on a tripod plate, attaches directly underneath the camera. The CNC aluminum-constructed unit has front and rear ratchet knobs for securing the included 12" rods in place.

A: though it may be possible, we would not recommend trying to use the Tiltaing 15mm LWS Baseplate Type V (Black) in that way. Maybe try using a different QR plate that is compatible with your tripod or your could try mounting your tripod plate to one of the 1/4'-20 receivers on the side of your cage.

A: Unfortunately no. As of 4/19/21, there is no Tilta cage for the BMPCC 6K Pro.

A: The Tilta 15mm LWS Quick Release Baseplate for Sony FS5's internal sliding plate does not have it's type listed.

[Sony BURANO] I have Tilta cages for my Panasonic GH5 and S1H. Both require a LWS baseplate for use with 15mm rods. I hoped the LWS baseplate for my GH5 would work with the S1H, but the rods aren't centered under the S1H lens....so, I had to buy a different LWS baseplate for the S1H. It's a fair chunk of change, but the build quality it great and worth the cost. 5

[Aluminum] We leave these baseplates permanently mounted on several tripods where they allow quick mounting and dismounting of any of our cameras using Tilta cages. And they also provide secure mounting for 15mm rods. 5

[Sony BURANO] I work with smaller Canons and Sonys mostly. This plate let me add rods for things like adding wireless follow focus. Rods also help with being a bit more stable when shooting handheld. Depending the lens I sometime have to add a riser but overall I would recommend it for the price point. Overall 4/5 no complains. Would recommend. 5
