[0.755 lb] Great accesory for FX9, can move the handle quickly to any position

[0.755 lb] First camera cage system from BT and it's awesome. I bought the original Kasbah system alongside the Misfit kick back in the day and was impressed by the functionality, quality, and their efforts to keep things light weight while still strong/solid. When it came time to get a cage for the Burano, I knew I wanted to try BT over the other options that were first to market apon its launch. The side rails connecting top and bottom inspire confidence for mounting things pretty much anywhere on the rig. The sliding top plate is slick, I'm getting another one for quick swaps to my movi alongside a BUD plate for the bottom. The D handle is solid and comfy. Paired with my Kasbah shoulder rig, its the quickest to build and comfiest to shoulder all day compared to other systems I've tried/built in my AC days. You won't regret it! Also the customer service is TOP with BT. They just called me within 15 mins to get clarification on a support email I sent regarding plate compatibility. Who does that these days?!

[Aluminum] Extremely well made. I like the adjustability of the handle length. I also have a Zacuto Marauder rig which the FS5 fits well and with the extension handle has increased the stability and ease of use by giving a better 3 point contact.

[0.755 lb] Easy and fast to adjust. Solid build, which also adds a little weight to the whole package, but the trade off is worth the versatility/speed.

[Aluminum] This one accessory makes a world of difference when operating the FS7M2. Not only is the ability to change the angle of the arm/handle DRAMATICALLY faster, but you can also set a much higher angle than with the stock arm which only lets you go exactly level with the camera and no higher. This is important for 2 reasons. 1, sometimes it's nice to be able to set the arm higher for a variety of reasons while operating to get the most comfortable position. But also, any time you want to set the camera on the ground for a rest, you can actually get the handle out of the way super easy, instead of virtual impossible like with the stock handle. May seem simple, but is worth every penny of the price.

[Black] The Sony arm is worthless; you can't lay the camera down flat with their arm. So the Shape extension is the first accessory I bought for my FX9. I have one for my FS7, and I love them both!

[Black] I love the speed of adjusting--push button release to rotate, but no play when it locks in. It does offset the handgrip a bit to the right making it take up a bit more space in a bag or case while attached. You can adjust the handle a bit to the right or left in your initial setup using a hex wrench at the attachment to the silver post. I had to move it far to the right to give clearance for my knuckles not to hit a locking lever when I'm rotating it. Thus even more offset to the right--not ideal but worth the trade-off. I like this model better than the one that can work with both the FS7 Mk 1 and Mk2. The ergonomics are much better for grasping the extension arm while simultaneously pressing the button with with the thumb of the same hand. For me this is a bod deal--for me the other one has inferior ergonomics for either model. This one does require some disassembly of the original extension to interface, but worth it. Note-it appears to be some plastic in use including on the rosette, but seems to be really tough stuff that shouldn't break in normal use. At least the plastic rosette would not need frequent adjusting since the whole point is the push button adjust.

[Black] I bought this same arm for my original Sony FS7 and it worked flawlessly for four years. It did not let me down once, even when I was using heavy lenses like the Fujinon Cabrios and the Cannon 17-120.

I was so impressed that I bought one for my AMIRA and it has given the same results. Just perfect.

I was thrilled to learn that this model, made for the FS7 mkii fits perfectly on my new FX9. I couldn’t be happier with the quality and customer service from Shape.

[Aluminum] At first it seemed like a needless duplication of the original SONY part. Now this I put it on the camera I appreciate the strength it adds to the cable protection. I feel much more secure should the coiled cable get 'snared' by something while walking with the camera. Now I won't damage the cable, camera or the plug.
