The 82mm M2 Magnetic Quick Swap Circular Polarizer Filter from Freewell offers the usual benefits of a polarizing filter with the convenience of their magnetic quick-swapping system. Once the magnetic frame is screwed on to the front of your lens, different filters can be attached, removed, or swapped out quickly and conveniently. The selective control offered by the CPL lets you effectively eliminate reflections in surfaces like glass, metal, or the surface of water by simply rotating the filter. This allows you to simultaneously preserve detail and color saturation in your images as well. The German optical glass construction and multilayer coating make the filter scratch and oil resistant as well as water and dustproof. The included pouch and lens cap help you further protect your filter when shooting on the go and switching between filters.

A: You must remove the brackets in order to mount or remove the Polarizer filter.

A: No, the seam between the two elements in the B+W MRC-Nano Master CPL is not gasketed or waterproof.

A: You lose about 3/4 of a stop at its minimum setting.

Q: 10. Wide angle lenses? Does the rear mount of the CPL make any difference with uneven polarization on wide angle lenses. I assume no, but never hurts to ask.

A: The rear-mounted CPL in this adapter does not make any difference with uneven polarization when used with wide angle EF lenses.

[0.77 lb] A very high quality magnetic mount polarizer with a magnetic lens cap. A great setup that I am now preferring over using the Sony clip on lens cap. This polarizer only removes unwanted glare and doesn't add any other unwanted image changes. Best used outdoors on sunny or partly cloudy days to remove glare and also add definition to clouds and also slightly darken the sky to add a bit more color and richness to blue skies. Highly recommend. 5

[Glass] I really like what Kase has done with their magnetic filters! It doesn't get much easier than this and the quality seems to be holding up well (I have several other Kase filters I use for other lenses). The only comment I have is the vignette, which if you're like me doesn't count many points off because I usually prefer a vignette in my photos. However, there are times where I don't want the vignette and that could be an issue for some. For me, I just remove the vignette in photoshop and move on. For the price and ease of use this is a great buy. Go for it! 5

[Glass] The filter works very well and due to the magnetic ring can be installed very easily. The ring even has a thread so you can use existing screw-on filter without having to remove the magnetic ring. I particularly like the magnetic lens cap. The magnets so far have been strong enough to hold everything in place. 5

[Glass] I've standardized on this 82mm size with magnetic step ups on smaller lenses. It's great having one set of filters and that's it, no matter which lenses you're bringing along for the day. Being magnetic and quick means you're more likely to use them instead of just lazily skipping filters because the threaded ones are so tedious. 5
