A: The Gitzo GM2542 monopod could function as a boom pole in a pinch but isn't designed for that use and might have issues with audible reverberations. We'd highly recommend purchasing a proper boom pole for interviews. The Rode Micro Boompole (BH #ROMICROBOOMP) is a great low-cost option.

Q: 6. is spike on the bottom removable? if yes what is the thread?

A: The entire foot/ball head has to be removed as one piece. You can then replace it with any other gitzo spike/foot.

[Black] Good product. I have an Audio Technica AT-120USB Turntable that I purchased from B&H Photo and this brush works perfectly to clean the stylus. This really works well when playing a lot of vinyl records. I recommend this product. B&H ships really fast! 5

[2.5 lb] I actually own the Zenelli CarbonZX model. I ordered this model by mistake, returned it and purchased the ZX. The feature I absolutely love about the ZX is the Save Lens feature that holds the lens in place even if the knob is loose, to enable you to move your tripod then quickly flips open to allow free movement of the gimbal head. 5

[Black] You'll need to pair this with the Cinemilled dovetail plate. I definitely recommend grabbing a couple of these if your camera is back heavy or if you intend to use a shorter (physically shorter, not focal length) lens. These weights simply screw into the dovetail plate and give you some added counterweight where you need it. Much nicer than that previous method of gaffe taping quarters to the camera, right??? 5
