The SHAPE 2.75" Sliding Rod Blockallows you to attach 15mm rods to select SHAPE gear and adjust them vertically 2.75".

Using supplied screws, it can be attached to the front of the PAPARAZZI RISER, CAMELEON I, SPIDER I, SUMO I, and other rigs/accessories that support the screw pattern. One ratchet knob tightens both optional rods in place.

A: The could work, but it would limit your ability to mount the rig to anything else. [0.3 lb] Very happy with the Shape products - all good building blocks for a rig that needs to be flexible to shoot under a variety of conditions. Well engineered and manufactured - have not had any problems with compatibility. I appreciate the adjustable vertical offset feature - was helpful in positioning lens center precisely. 5

[0.3 lb] Everything I have from SHAPE is great. Well manufactured and solid. The product design is well thought out, for instance the fact that the rod block has one fastener to tighten rather than two which requires both hands and is far more cumbersome. The machining and fit are fantastic. Fully recommend SHAPE products to anyone looking for rigs and/or components for rigs. 5

[2.75" (7 cm)] I needed to get my shoulder par higher on my camera rig, and this is perfect. Well made, easy to adjust the height, strong material and built. You will gain almost 2.5 inches if you go to the maximum. I needed 3 inches; so, I inverted the top piece by unscrewing it; and replaced it upside down; and it did get me close enough to my 3 inches of height! And everything still really sturdy and strong. Already used it for 3 events; holding my rig on my shoulder for more than 4 hours each time, and it is really strong even with the top piece inverted. I really recommend it if you need to adjust the height with your rig, this piece is rock solid, as all Shape product, I'm using so far. 5
