Add numerous accessories to the top of your Sony BURANO, VENICE 1, VENICE 2, RIALTO 1, or RIALTO 2 camera rig with this OCTAMAS SWISS Cage Full Set for Sony BURANOfrom OCTAMAS gear. Part of the OCTAMAS gear SWISS Cage system, the aluminum plate mounts onto the top of the camera, and it provides multiple 3/8"-16 ARRI-style anti-twist mounts, as well as 1/4"-20 and M4 accessory threads. It is compatible with separately available ARRI-standard dovetail plates. Also included are four riser threads that can be used to ensure an optical center with optional 15mm top mounts.

A: The MID49 EVF/LCD Extension Cable (Sony Burano, FX9, and FX6) is an extension for Sony's 40-pin monitor system found on recent cameras, including: Burano, FX9, FX6, FS7, FS7mkII, FS5, and FS5mkII. It only connects to the EVF/LCD and does not allow you to reposition the handle. Here's an optional offset adapter: the MID49 ARRI 3/8-16 to M4x20mm Offset Adapter (B&H # MI9CBLBK38M4), which is a grid of M4 holes spaced 20mm apart with a 3/8-16 screw and locating pins in ARRI spacing. The locating pins can be removed and repositioned if needed.

Q: 6. I understand that this cage is designed for the Sony a7s III but I would like to know if it would fit a Sony A7III as they have a similar body. (of course the A7SIII is a bit thicker) ?

A: Yes the cage should work for the A7III as well. Just be aware that since it is designed around the contours of the A7SIII there some parts of the cage that may not align as well on the A7III requiring you to adjust the way you mount the camera in the cage. For best results we recommend getting cages that specifically list your camera as compatible or cages that are universal.

Q: 7. Will this cage allow one to use the HDMI clamp to hold the cable in place on the Sony A1?

A: There is no HDMI clamp at the moment that we can guarantee will fit on this cage for the A1.

[Aluminum] Maybe I'm misunderstanding the last reviewer when they say they can't access the battery w/o removing the camera or I have a different model but there is a hinged flap that moves out of the way so the battery door can open for battery removal while still in the cage. Really snug fit too. Compact and sleek enough to keep on full time, even while using as a still camera 5

[Aluminum] First camera cage system from BT and it's awesome. I bought the original Kasbah system alongside the Misfit kick back in the day and was impressed by the functionality, quality, and their efforts to keep things light weight while still strong/solid. When it came time to get a cage for the Burano, I knew I wanted to try BT over the other options that were first to market apon its launch. The side rails connecting top and bottom inspire confidence for mounting things pretty much anywhere on the rig. The sliding top plate is slick, I'm getting another one for quick swaps to my movi alongside a BUD plate for the bottom. The D handle is solid and comfy. Paired with my Kasbah shoulder rig, its the quickest to build and comfiest to shoulder all day compared to other systems I've tried/built in my AC days. You won't regret it! Also the customer service is TOP with BT. They just called me within 15 mins to get clarification on a support email I sent regarding plate compatibility. Who does that these days?! 5

[Aluminum] The steel grey version makes your FX 3 look like something from the Terminator movie. I like the way it assembled and fit to the camera. I really like the hand strap. The top plate would be good if you did not plan to use your FX3 sound handle. I use that a lot and took off the top piece. The bottom plate mounted to my Manfrotto tripod perfectly but not to all of my tripods. 5
