A: Found from italian ebay post (18 ene 2018) that this monitor only supports HD 720P,1080P input and only 50fps,60fps, but can not support 20/30fps,/24/25fps. This helped me select my input choice as 1280x720p60 for compatibility with my other equipment, but testing also worked with 1920x1080 i50/i60, 1280x720p50, and 720x570i50 (625i).

[NEMA 5-15P] I'm a DoP & DaVinci Resolve Colorist, I have been using this monitor
for the last 6 days and I'm impressed with the quality and
with the versatility that I have with this monitor. So far so good.

Cons: - Monitor's sun hood is one piece of plastic, looks & feels
a little bit cheap and since is all one piece, the sun hood
won't close like barn doors, so, removal (for transportation)
could be a little bit annoying because of the 3 knobs that have
to be screwed and unscrewed every time.
I wish the sun hood could be more like barn doors,
easy open easy close.
(minor thing in my opinion, Still great monitor)

Pros:
- Great to have as a client/field monitor on set
- Lightweight & sharp enough to use it with a wireless follow focus
for the AC.
- The A12 is a Portable & NOT a bulky monitor.

This monitor on a Mini Table Top Tripod + MacBook Pro + Premiere or DaVinci Resolve/ etc. = Very Nice Mobile Post Production Set Up with an affordable & great monitor.
btw, I'm in a hotel lobby right now using this monitor, (on battery) my laptop with Resolve and I love it!

[7 x 4.6 x 2.8"] It's not clear from the specs or the documentation, but in addition to its many other capabilities, this monitor does a wonderful job with the horizontal flip you need for use with a teleprompter. In my case, I'm using it with a small desktop teleprompter that typically uses an iPad to show a PC screen instead.

The A12 is a vastly better - finer and more capable - monitor than most monitors meant for teleprompter use displaying text. (They may have other advantages for text.) I'm showing various kinds of screens through it, not just scripts. You also need to turn off the underscan if the edges of the screen matter to your projects.

I'm writing this review using the A12 reflected through a teleprompter right now, and happy with the result.

I'll revisit this in a few months, after I've had time to see how it does over time and in multiple contexts, but the out-of-box experience, plus a few days, has been great.

[NEMA 5-15P] Things I Love:

True 4k at 18 inches that is sharp!
Gets bright enough to use on set (ours living strictly in post production usage)
hard carrying case is sweet, Wouldn't sit on it but definitely a nice add-on
has hdmi input to switch to being a regular monitor in addition to running SDI from an UltraStudio 4K Mini out of resolve, one of the reasons for picking this over more common reference monitors.

But now the tough part, Calibration was HARD. Keep in mind I am not a professional calibrator but am pretty tech savvy, Spent a whole day trying with DisplayCal, next day with ColourSpace LTE Rental, and simply couldn't get great results. Results would be great when testing the calibrated profile from a software side, but as soon as loading the LUT into the monitor, results would be all over. Lilliput Customer Service was very responsive at trying to help. In order to finally get it properly calibrated I had a local calibrator come in and help out. We used Calman, dialed in settings on the display, created and loaded a LUT, then had to take an extra step of changing RGB, brightness, and contrast after to get it calibrated properly. This last step is not so standard but allowed us to final calibrate to Rec709 gamma 2.2. So calibration is DEFINITELY possible, just not as simple in my experience as some monitors, Would love to see Lilliput put out more literature on how to properly calibrate using ColourSpace (one of their partners) or update their DisplayCal directions to provide more details. Again, this could be user error, but the professional Calibrator said this was definitely a tough one. But we got it and likely could've dialed in more but ended up with a Delta e average of 1.4 which is more than good enough for my purposes!

For the price EXTREMELY stoked on the feature set of this monitor and build quality. Well done Lilliput.

[NEMA 5-15P] We have a few of this in our arsenal. This version with SDI input is great as it allows for a complete full range of video sources from HD SDI, to HMDI, to composite. They are fairly rugged too and can take some mild wear and tear.

[7 x 4.6 x 2.8"] I spent a lot of time looking for a 17 field monitor to replace my dated Panasonic LH17. This newly released Lilliput fit the bill perfectly, and does so much more than expected. I often DP multiple camera shoots and love the 4 SDI inputs. You can cycle through them full screen, or get them in quad mode - even if you are using only two or three of the inputs. The manual is nearly useless (like most these days), so took me a little bit of back and forth with tech support (very responsive), to figure out how to set that up. I then assigned quad mode to one of the function buttons. The colors seem accurate, it's bright, and it is loaded with onscreen tools, built in LUTs, the ability to bring in custom LUTs. I do not recommend their case. I kitted out a Pelican 1600 and it fits perfectly. Very happy with this monitor so far!
