[Carbon Fiber] I actually own the Zenelli CarbonZX model. I ordered this model by mistake, returned it and purchased the ZX. The feature I absolutely love about the ZX is the Save Lens feature that holds the lens in place even if the knob is loose, to enable you to move your tripod then quickly flips open to allow free movement of the gimbal head.

[Carbon Fiber] I love this tripod because the tripod itself is very sturdy, yet lightweight. I am 5'6 tall and it suits me well without extending it completely to its limit. I would say if you're 5'9 it would still work really well for you.

The head offers a ballhead, gimbal head, and video panhead together in one. What I love most is that you can loosen the tension on the head and turn it from a smooth pan, to providing you gentle click-stops that clue you in to how much panning is needed before you take another shot. This is AWESOME for night photography especially! No guesswork on your overlapping shots anymore---you can get it just right!


I also love how lightweight this tripod is. At just over 5lbs and collapsing to about 24, it really suits me well. It's durable, no center column so I can get the legs to open up to about 90 and the feet don't fall off like on another tripod brand I've owned.


I LOVE LOVE LOVE the instant level feature on the tripod that works with the head. It makes it SO much easier than adjusting the height of the legs when you need to get perfectly level.


The video panhead is awesome as well. Just the right amount of soft tension so that you can do panning without the stuttering and shake that a traditional ballhead or gimbal would give you.

I never heed to switch tripod heads again. This has solved my issues of past tripods and heads.


Lastly, you can set your head in such a way that your lens can shoot on its nodal point for multi-stitched panos---reducing the distortion that you get of traditional ball heads or gimbal heads that do not have this feature.

Great stuff. I've owned this tripod for several years and can't imagine having anything else.

Its lightweight, sturdy construction allows it to carry the heaviest super telephoto lenses without losing its fluent movability. This gimbal has a quick release system which works great and it doesn't lose any performance in the weather or extreme temperatures. Most of all it's glossy carbon fiber appearence makes it an attractive piece of equipment to carry your gear around with.

[Carbon Fiber] I bought a cheap gimbal before I bought this one. Big mistake. This one is smooth as butter. My wife and I both bought one for our bird and wildlife photography.

[1.74" / 4.42 cm] A lot can be said about the craftmansships as it is absolutely second to none but the #1 feature that I enjoy about this gimbal besides the class-leading low weight, is the ability to adapt and use every larger lens on the market with upmost ease and ultra fast movement. This is the benchmark and one I love to use.
