Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does the folded length include the ballhead?

A: Yes. The Punks Brian 2.0 reverse-folds and encapsulates the ballhead when stored away. The folded length therefore includes the ballhead in its measurements.

Q: 2. Do you know the load capacity when used as a monopod?

A: anything under 10 kg / 22 lb from top-down and you won't have an issue, if you're using the monopod at an angle or as a boom arm this will vary on circumstances.

Q: 3. Is the Peak Design adapter made out of metal or composite plastic?

A: The Peak Design Capture Clip Adapter included with the purchase of the 3 Legged Thing Ollie L-Bracket for OM System OM-1 Mirrorless Camera (Copper) is manufactured from PA-6 Glass Reinforced Nylon.

Q: 4. Will this work with a battery griped EOS R with an RF 100-500 lens?

A: Yes 3 Legged Thing Punks Corey 2.0 Magnesium Alloy Tripod with AirHed Neo 2.0 Ball Head (Black) is compatible with that camera kit. For that RF 100-500 long lens I would recommend using a longer plate like this one. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/205334-REG/Wimberley_P_20_P20_Quick_Release_Plate.html

Q: 5. This tripod is entirely magnesium? No aluminum at all?!

A: The 3 Legged Thing Charles 2.0 Darkness Magnesium Alloy Tripod (Matte Black) is made of Magnesium alloy. Magnesium alloys are mixtures of magnesium (the lightest structural metal) with other metals (called an alloy), often aluminium, zinc, manganese, silicon, copper, rare earths and zirconium.

Q: 6. Is the head of the Billy 2.0 tripod fixed or it can be dettached and change for another head?

A: The head of the 3 Legged Thing Punks Billy 2.0 tripod can be removed and a different one used in its place.

Q: 7. Will this work alright with the nikon z5?

A: Yes, the 3LT Punks Corey 2.0 will work with the Nikon Z5 mirrorless camera.

Q: 8. Would this be good with 150mm - 500m lens? Thanks

A: Yes, the 3 Legged Thing Punks Travis 2.0 Magnesium Alloy Tripod with AirHed Neo 2.0 Ball Head (Matte Black), B&H # 3LTRAVISDK20, would be a good tripod to use with your 150-500m lens as the load capacity is 40 lb / 18.1 kg. There are also some universal L-brackets that are compatible with the tripod for more lens support, which can be found here: https://bhpho.to/4duXQBa.

Q: 9. What is the thread size at the top of the center column?

A: The 3 Legged Thing Winston 2.0 Tripod has a standard 3/8-16 male stud for mounting a tripod head. Most tripods heads have a 3/8-16 female mount.

Q: 10. will this work with the canon r6 mirrorless body?

A: The 3 Legged Thing Ollie L-Bracket for OM System OM-1 Mirrorless Camera (Copper) would not fit the Canon R6, as it's designed for a camera with very different dimensions. The 3 Legged Thing Roxie-C L-Bracket for Canon EOS R5 and R6 (Copper) #3LROXIEC would be a better option.

[Yes] I've been using this tripod on a regular basis for a bit over a year now, for the most part, I love it. It's quality built, stable yet versatile for what I need it to do, and is lightweight to haul around.

My one warning is to watch your fingers! It is riddled with pinch points. It has made me bleed. It has made others bleed. It has brought me (close) to tears in front of customers/clients.

But overall, I really like it.

[Yes] Needed a new tripod and found just what I wanted at B&H. This 3 Legged Thing is one of the few tripods that extend to my eye height. Also light and sturdy. A little more expensive but you get what you pay for. Thumbs Up

[5.505 lb] Well made little tripod that's just as good as my Gitzos costing 4-5 times as much. I watched dozens of Youtube videos on tripods and decided on this one. It's very light and compact and will fit into my carry-on luggage when I travel. I didn't want to spend too much money on a tripod because I've had at leat 2 Gitzos stolen by baggage handlers/TSA agents so it won't be a great loss if it meets that fate again. I replaced the ball head with a Foba M1 I had lying around. I'm only going to use it with my Leica Q3 so it should work perfectly in concert with it.

[Yes] Nice light weight tripod. Love the versatility of taking off the legs for table top version. Ball head is smooth. Is exactly what is advertised. If you need a heavier one get a heavier one. Otherwise, get this one.

[+90° to -80°] Needed a taller tripod for the studio and on location work - great find - reasonably priced, sturdy, light weight.

[Yes] Solid travel tripod. Not as fancy and innovative as some of the other offerings that are getting a lot of online rave reviews but a traditional design well built tripod with an excellent ball head that’s worth every penny. Coming from a Ulanzi Coman travel tripod that failed after a year of use I appreciate the traditional tried and time tested design despite the extra few grams of weight.

[Carbon Fiber] In my opinion, the best travel tripod. We have this model plus an older version that is similar. Both are good quality for the price and lightweight. All the clamps and ball head hold fine with D850s/Z7II with lens up to about 200 if using lens tripod mount so it is balanced. Tripod center column is not real stable with if column is raised, especially if windy, but usually good enough to get the job done if you take extra exposures. I carry it on my camera backpack when I am hiking or will be on my feet all day. I use a heavier but more stable tripod for serious photography, especially if windy or exposure times will be slower.

[Yes] I researched extensively for a tripod that would meet my travel needs. It needed to be light, tall, break into a monopod and have lever locks. Well, I failed on the last point, but few tripods have lever locks. So, I gave up and tried a number of them with twist locks. Still don't like them, but will have to settle. The 3 legged thing looks like a winner. I have only tried it in the house, but it works with my Wimberly Sidekick and long lenses attached to the the ball head without drift. It is also very attractive, if you care about appearance. So beautiful Billy and I are going to Costa Rica very soon where we will shoot birds and his name will be changed to Guillermo.

[Yes] This is a compact, but very solid tripod. It holds my Sony a6600 with a 70-300mm lens as solid as any tripod I've ever used. It also allows me to get down low. This is beneficial as I shoot toys, so getting down to a 6 action figure's level is important.

I would absolutely recommend this tripod.

[5] I love this tripod. It is light, very sturdy, and comfortable to use. Being able to use as a tripod or remove a leg to have a monopod is wonderful. The features and quality put it up there was the more expensive tripods but without the heft price tag. The ball head is great as well, zero creep, strong clamp, whats not to like. Great buy.
