This Sandies 340 ON AIR Light with LED - 12 VDCuses LEDs as the light source and displays "ON AIR" horizontally in bright red when turned on. When off, it's totally blacked out, leaving no confusion about whether it's off. It has a solid steel frame and a thick, red plexiglass faceplate. Use it mounted on standard, single gang boxes or with wall anchors.

This light requires a 12 VDC power supply (sold separately).

A: You have to wire it to the main switch you use to turn your gear on. This way when you turn on whatever master switch you are using to turn everything on the sign lights up. When you finish working and shut down the light will go out. Normally in studios they used to be wired to the tape machine transport so once you pressed play the sign would go on.

A: It is meant to be installed permanently by an electrician. They will run a line to a wall switch or the Technical Director's control panel to turn the light on or off.
