Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this cable balanced?

A: The Hosa Technology Stereo Mini Male to Stereo Mini Male Cable (15') in an unbalanced line-level stereo cable.

Q: 2. I'm getting a hum with this cable when connecting directly from a microphone to an amp-- how to resolve?

A: In order to assist you we will need you to provide more details about the microphone that you are using and the amplifier that you are connecting to. These are important factors that need to be taken into consideration to determine whether there may be a compatibility issue, a problem with grounding, or if you may need a different cable or something else. Please contact us by phone or through live chat on the website and we will be happy to help.

Q: 3. Is this cable shielded?

A: Yes, it uses OFC spiral shielding. Best regards, Hosa Support.

Q: 4. Can I use this cable to go from my pickup jack in my guitar to two amps?

A: The Hosa Technology STP-204 Stereo 1/4" Male to 2 Mono 1/4" Male Y-Cable will only work with your guitar if it is wired with a stereo output signal which is not a common configuration for a typical electric guitar. If your guitar has standard wiring with mono output signal, the Hosa Technology 1/4" Male to Two 1/4" Female Y-Cable (B&H # HOYCPM2PF) would be the more ideal solution to split the guitar's signal out to two amplifiers at the same time. Standard instrument cables can be used to connect from the female jacks on the Y-cable to the input jack on each amplifier.

Q: 5. Hi. I'm assuming from the TRS reference that this is a stereo cable? I don't actually see the word 'stereo' used anywhere in the overview or specs. Thanks.

A: This Hosa Technology REAN 1/8" TRS Female to 1/4" TRS Male Headphone Adapter Cable (10') has TRS wiring, which could be used for a balanced mono signal. In most cases though, it would be used for unbalanced stereo, as an extension/adapter for a headphone connector.

Q: 6. To be certain I need extension cable with 1.4" male connector to Denon receiver and 1/8" female connector ro headset-correct?

A: Yes that is correct this cable is exactly how you described it. 1/8 female to 1/4 male im assuming your connecting the 1/4 inch male to the headpone output on your Denon Receiver if so this is what you need.

Q: 7. Can this cable support Fast Charging? ie. 2 Amps or more.

A: Did not charge fast form me

Q: 8. Is this a stereo cable? need it for electric piano to receiver...

A: This is not meant to be stereo cable. However it will work as stereo cable. Just to keep in mind - this cable is more for PA systems or average home studio systems and not of a category for high end audio or hifi audio. This cable seems to have higher resistance than normal stereo cable in my experience.

Q: 9. What is the distance of the spread of 2 XLRs from the Y-junction?

A: It splits in the middle, so approximately 5 feet on each end, meaning the spread would be approximately 10 feet. Best regards, Hosa Support.

Q: 10. What is the size of the mini end? is it 1/8 ?

A: Yes 1/8 on one end, 1/4 on the other.

[Black] Purchased (2) Hosa right angle guitar cables for my bass guitar. The cables are 10' long and the right angle help with connecting and staying place during my performances. Although it's early in the prove out process, the length, right angle connects, and price made the Hosa guitar cables right for me.

[10' / 3 m] One of my guitars has input jack on top & have to have an angle plug on that end. This is perfect for it. Right length and good quality for the money

[Neutrik] First, good quality cables for your guitar and pedal connections really makes a difference. The tone is better, and the performance is more reliable than cheapo cables. Cheapo cables will quickly make intermittent connection and become noisy. These Hosa Pro guitar cables sound great, are quiet enough for recording, they have terrific copper conductors, and the Rean connectors are very lightweight but sturdy. I have owned many more expensive cables, but these Rean Pros really last, and they are a superb line of budget-friendly cables. They are really reliable! Personally, I use more premium cables for longer length runs, but save money by using the Rean Pros for runs 10 feet or shorter. If you are not super picky, or are on a really tight budget, these would be fine even for longer cable runs too. Do yourself a tonal favor, don't skimp on cables. These are not much more costly than the nasty ones, and your music will shine through, consistently.

[Black] A good cord has good connector plugs and is heavy duty enough to handle wear as well as minimize hum noise. This cord has all that with a great price. You can find cords as good as this one else where, but finding one at this price might be difficult.

[8.8 x 2.9 x 1"] I use this cable to play guitar outside on the street. I like this one better than other cables with shiny metal ends. You would think that the metal would be better... it is not. While playing outside, the sealed bushings at the ends keep out moisture. Those bushings also prevent the cable from pulling at the internal connections. And the cable ends are light. I have used many of these cables and I have Not managed to Destroy one yet. None have failed me. Recommend.
