Q: 1. I had Canon D50 , it fix the lens 24-70mm .Yes or not ?

A: I'm sorry but this question really dose not make any sense ..The 24-70mm f4. is a very good lens. However, between the time (last year) and the middle of summer this year, I traded the f4 in for a Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM Lens. The f/2.8 lens really pops . I use this lens on both my Canon 6D and Canon 5D Mark III. Outstanding results....!!!

Q: 2. Hi! I have a Canon Rebel T3i and I'm wanting a wide angle lens for portraits and weddings. I'm sick of having to stand way back and still only getting a portion of my subject in the photo! Any suggestions for me? Thanks!

A: You have a crop body...1.6x crop...so the Field of View using a 24-70 lens is 38.4 to 112mm...Let me caution you....for group pictures...sometimes 38.4mm is not wide enough....This is what I usually see with wedding photographers...one to 2 bodies....with 3 lenses available....for FF, it's 16-35 (for group images), 24-70, and 70-200....for crop bodies, it's EF-S 10-22 (for group images), 24-70, and 70-200....In some weddings flash is not allowed in the church....so you have to bump up your ISO....higher ISO, more noise....thankfully there are excellent NR software around.... I hope that answers your question....More...for model shoots....I use a minimum 50mm for FF, 35mm for crop....the wider your lens the more distortion you introduce...

Q: 3. I have a Canon Mark IV and am looking for a second lens. I currently have a Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM Lens which I love, but it's time to get a wider view. Is it worth the cost to go for the more expensive Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM Lens and has anyone used this with a Mark IV ? I think I could likely get away with the less expensive Canon EF 24-70mm f/4L IS USM Lens and just sacrifice the low light aspect. What are Mark IV users using for a wider angle lens over the 70-200 ? The 70-200 is such a great lens, it sits on my camera all the time. Thanks.

A: If you don't need the wider aperture, then sure....the 24-70 F4 IS L lens is awesome! In my case I only use it for cityscapes and landscapes (F8 to F11 mostly) so I don't need the more expensive model.

Q: 4. Would this lens fit a 15 year old Canon Rebel digital SLR, fully manual camera? I don't know the model off hand.

A: I think so because most Canon cameras have interchangeable mounts. To be sure call Canon customer service. They are very helpful and their telephone number is 800-652-2666 or 877-287-7032. Good luck.

Q: 5. Is this a good lens for the Canon 5DSR or would the Canon EF 24-70 mm f/2.8L II USM be better?

A: It is a better choice for an all round lens than the F2.8 version as it is lighter and cheaper, the difference in almost all cases is minimal, and that's what the photo mags say as well..

Q: 6. Does this lens zoom internally? Or does the barrel move in and out as it zooms?

A: Unfortunately, no it is not internal. Regardless, it is a great lens to shoot with. Only minor zoom creep.

Q: 7. How does this lens compare to the 2.8 version? Is it worth another $800 to get the 2.8?

A: Sharpness the 2.8 is much sharper but for the price difference, I would more so look at the Tamron SP 24-70mm f/2.8 Di VC USD G2 Lens for Canon EF.

Q: 8. I have a Canon Rebel T6s. Is this lens compatible and, if not, what do you recommend?

A: Yes, This is a compatible lens. All new Rebels take EF and EFS lenses.

Q: 9. Would this work on the canon t5????

A: It's a 18-135 STM, not 255.

Q: 10. Is this lens better for sports or weddings

A: I use this as my everyday lens both on my 7D & 6D. Most certainly you can use for sports especially the 7D but I would prefer my 70/200 2.8 for that purpose. I don't shoot weddings but if I did, it would be in the bag. My want to consider the 2.8 24-70 for weddings but it does carry a heavier price tag and is larger in size and weight.

[0.135 lb] Tried having walking on the park for some bird shots... good i have this coz if not for this my camera would be scratch free no more, didn't notice the branch sticking infront of me and hit my camera, well, if you invest an expensive camera, why not protect it.

[0.135 lb] Couldn't ask for a better lens. Very sharp images and focuses fast. If you like the option that a zoom lenses gives then this is the lens for you. It is just like the 70-200 2.8 lens but only at a shorter distance. Would recommend this lens for everyone, at every level of photography.

[0.135 lb] Cover fits the lens well, protecting the lens from bumps and scratches in the kit bag. Also reduces the thermal shock to the lens when working in the polar regions and is gentler on the fingers in the polar regions.

[0.135 lb] In the past, I've always used the plain black LensCoat Lens Covers, but with these Realtree Max4 covers (both this one and the one for the 500mm PF) give me the feeling that the wildlife I'm shooting pictures of can't see me. These work where ever I'll be shooting - from Colorado to Kenya.

[Neoprene] I was skeptical about using these....but it worked out great. Shooting in colder conditions and keeping everything from getting beat up. I have them for each lens now.

[Neoprene] I use to protect all my lenses, long but also short, with LensCoat covers. In fact I usually use my lensens for photographic safaris and therefore it is important to protect the lenses from unwanted scratches which can always occur, even when the utmost care is taken. Available in different patterns, they are a must to go with your lens.
