Q: 1. Hi! I have a Canon Rebel T3i and I'm wanting a wide angle lens for portraits and weddings. I'm sick of having to stand way back and still only getting a portion of my subject in the photo! Any suggestions for me? Thanks!

A: You have a crop body...1.6x crop...so the Field of View using a 24-70 lens is 38.4 to 112mm...Let me caution you....for group pictures...sometimes 38.4mm is not wide enough....This is what I usually see with wedding photographers...one to 2 bodies....with 3 lenses available....for FF, it's 16-35 (for group images), 24-70, and 70-200....for crop bodies, it's EF-S 10-22 (for group images), 24-70, and 70-200....In some weddings flash is not allowed in the church....so you have to bump up your ISO....higher ISO, more noise....thankfully there are excellent NR software around.... I hope that answers your question....More...for model shoots....I use a minimum 50mm for FF, 35mm for crop....the wider your lens the more distortion you introduce...

Q: 2. Is this a good lens for the Canon 5DSR or would the Canon EF 24-70 mm f/2.8L II USM be better?

A: It is a better choice for an all round lens than the F2.8 version as it is lighter and cheaper, the difference in almost all cases is minimal, and that's what the photo mags say as well..

Q: 3. it's come Empty or Filled with Sunflower Seeds?

A: It comes empty. We filled with plastic chips we bought at Hobby Lobby. Took quite a few bags. Kinda expensive but they won't mold or grow anything. ( you could look for larger bags online or eBay )

Q: 4. I have a Canon Mark IV and am looking for a second lens. I currently have a Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM Lens which I love, but it's time to get a wider view. Is it worth the cost to go for the more expensive Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM Lens and has anyone used this with a Mark IV ? I think I could likely get away with the less expensive Canon EF 24-70mm f/4L IS USM Lens and just sacrifice the low light aspect. What are Mark IV users using for a wider angle lens over the 70-200 ? The 70-200 is such a great lens, it sits on my camera all the time. Thanks.

A: If you don't need the wider aperture, then sure....the 24-70 F4 IS L lens is awesome! In my case I only use it for cityscapes and landscapes (F8 to F11 mostly) so I don't need the more expensive model.

Q: 5. Would this lens fit a 15 year old Canon Rebel digital SLR, fully manual camera? I don't know the model off hand.

A: I think so because most Canon cameras have interchangeable mounts. To be sure call Canon customer service. They are very helpful and their telephone number is 800-652-2666 or 877-287-7032. Good luck.

Q: 6. Does the Lens 24-70mm fit a Canon 50D camera ?

A: Short answer - Yes it does. I've been using my lens on a EOS 60D which is the replacement for the 50D. Every EF series lens will fit any EOS camera (film or Digital) made from about 1987. The EF-S series lens will only work on the APS-C sensor cameras but the EF series will work with APS-C, Film or Full Frame digital sensor cameras.

Q: 7. How does this lens compare to the 2.8 version? Is it worth another $800 to get the 2.8?

A: Sharpness the 2.8 is much sharper but for the price difference, I would more so look at the Tamron SP 24-70mm f/2.8 Di VC USD G2 Lens for Canon EF.

Q: 8. Is the autofocus loud enough to be picked up while shooting video?

A: USM motors such as the one used on this lens are very quiet and very fast. There also is not a whole lot of focus breathing with this lens so its pretty decent for video but because it focuses so fast, its not perfect. You might be better off with the cheaper STM lenses for video. The stm are slower get really and are pretty quiet. I would not use an on camera mic so, lens noise is not really a concern anyway.

Q: 9. How many bags of poly beads are needed?

A: The LensCoat LensSack Pro Beanbag Support measures 11 x 8 x 7.5", which is 10.82 liters. It is not an exact rectangle though; there is an opening at the bottom that will reduce the size of the bean bag. The Kinesis Poly Bead Fill for SafariSack 4.2 (B&H # KIR142) is 4.2 liters—I would recommend buying two bags.

Q: 10. Would this work on the canon t5????

A: It's a 18-135 STM, not 255.

[Neoprene] Used it the other day on my lens while using the wire on a fence to stabilize better. Had no fear of acquiring any scratches

[Neoprene] Cover fits the lens well, protecting the lens from bumps and scratches in the kit bag. Also reduces the thermal shock to the lens when working in the polar regions and is gentler on the fingers in the polar regions.

[Neoprene] Tried having walking on the park for some bird shots... good i have this coz if not for this my camera would be scratch free no more, didn't notice the branch sticking infront of me and hit my camera, well, if you invest an expensive camera, why not protect it.

[Neoprene] Fits first class and real save your expensive lens.Attention, when you also mount the coat over the zoom-ring so it can be sometimes not so easy to turn the zoom ring because the lenscoats brakes when it comes close together.
