A: The SmallRig AD-01 Heavy-Duty Tripod with Fluid Head (B&H# SM3751) does offer a counterbalance mechanism, but it's not especially strong, and in our opinion it would be very unlikely to be bothersome to anyone. As you mentioned, the counterbalance cannot be changed. The head is not designed to be taken apart, nor the spring removed.

A: The SmallRig Freeblazer uses the DH10 Fluid Head 4165 and the SmallRig AD-01 Heavy-Duty Tripod with Fluid Head is a simplified version with less features.

[5.315 lb] Недавн я прибрел сверхпрчный штатив SmallRig AD-01 с пдвижнй глвкй. П прибытии я заетил небльшую трещину на зажие из-за транспртирвки. Однак канда пддержки быстр заенила ег на нвый. Скрсть дставки была фантастическй, всег 2 дня через FedEx. Плюсы: +Выский и прчный. +В снвн сделан из еталла. +Удбная пластина с встренны инструент для затягивания винта каеры. Отличне стншение цены и качества, чень рекендую! 5

[Yes] ok, I'm a complete amateur and just getting started in video. I have done lots of real estate photography. This tripod seems to be wonderful. AND! I can afford it. Holds my 13 pound setup just fine. I love it. 5

[5.315 lb] I bought this tripod to help me shoot weddings, so far up to . This tripod finally retired my 10+ year old Magnus VT-4000, which was a major upgrade. Much lighter. Easier to release the legs. The feet are nothing special but thats a good thing. They work on all terrains well. The tripod head is smooth and I like the locks. Although this is not a true fluid head with multi-step locks, it is still great for the price. If I could I would give this 4.5 stars instead of a full 5. For the price, this tripod comes in at a great value. And I'm considering buying one more for my wedding purposes. I'd be replacing a Magnus VT-5000, which is much heavier and much more annoying to deploy. But my one gripe is when it is fully extended, even at my height of 6'1 , it is very hard to read the bubble level, which when moving quickly can be a bit of an issue. I would've made it readable from the side too, but that probably would've added to the price. 5
